Well timed EJ, nice little profit on your purchase yesterday. Let's hope we can get over £30 by the end of the week and keep going.

Well head and shoulders formation is now history - bounced very comfortably off of 2800 - it's 3000 she needs to breach next... I still can't shake the hunch someone is trying to quietly accumulate here.

Sold a few today at lunchtime as it made good headway in morning trading, just to reduce my holding and take a bit of profit.
As I think it struggling to move higher at present and posibly due a slight pull back since the last leg up.
If it drops back to around 28 or below I will be back in with what I sold today.
Good luck all

Woody - did you hang onto your IMB after the recent peak at 2940p? I did as the setback was only 2% and the share price now seems to be making a comeback. Plus we have one divi pocketed and the next due in August.

'Palmer & Harvey backers Imperial Brands and Japan Tobacco face big loss'

Two large tobacco companies that helped to shore up Palmer & Harvey with £66 million of loans before its collapse may receive only a fraction of what they are owed.

An administrator’s report for the failed wholesaler shows that Imperial Brands, which makes Gauloises and Davidoff cigarettes, and Japan Tobacco, the Benson & Hedges and Silk Cut maker, may receive between 0p and 58p in the pound of the funds they are owed.

The Institute of Economic Affairs states that legalising cannabis in the UK would raise £1bn in taxes and savings and thinks the value of the British black market alone is worth £2.6bn a year. I can see why IMB wants a slice of that.

Just got my Drip Div. Used to be a Scrip with no stamp or commission, now a Drip with stamp duty & commission of 0.5%. Equiniti put in a neat liitle flyer telling us they are going to double the commission to 1% from August. How can this be justified? Why do we not get a vote on these changes? Typical sneaky rip-off.

Investors Chronicle:

Imperial Brands (IMB) announced that David Haines, non-executive director and chairman of the remuneration committee, will step down from the board. Mr Haines recently took up the role as chief executive of Upfield Group, the Amsterdam-based parent company of Unilever's former global spreads business, which was purchased by private equity group KKR.

He will be replaced by Malcolm Wyman, who will also remain a senior independent director. Shares were flat in early trading. Buy.

I'd like to believe you are right Lomcovaks - and I think you are, but it will take a lot longer than you expect, given the current political climate for this country.

The agenda as far as I an see is regressive (not progressive) in the UK - and probably will be for a good while.
