11/1/2023 22:40 | Another share that’s worth a look is Airtel Africa. I have quite a bit built up in that one. Fabulous growth prospects and the price has come down quite a lot recently. Salty. | saltaire111
11/1/2023 22:37 | I have 9551 IMB shares. One of my biggest holdings. Also have quite a few BATS. I recycle the income from these two into other shares that are a bit more racy - I have been buying BABA over the last few months and have built up quite a lot in that and Disney, Airbnb, Rightmove and I’ve also been buying Civitas Social Housing, as I think it has been oversold. Salty. | saltaire111
11/1/2023 05:53 | Interesting that PMI, Phillip Morris International, started using Blue Yonder's TMS transportation management system a little over a year ago. It sure would ease integration if the they merged. | lomcovaks

03/1/2023 09:15 | Still got to get above £22 to look like its going places. Some of us can remember a £36+ share price. | irenekent
03/1/2023 00:51 | Yep, from their pov the Russians can't afford anything but something that they can call a victory. Ukraine seems similarly minded. Really though, Russia are fighting the USA/NATO now, albeit via a proxy war, although it was always that really, from 2014 and Crimea/Maidan. USA/UK told Ukraine in 2022 not to negotiate, so that was the last chance for some sort of peace agreement really. Russia has been fighting with one hand tied behind its back due to its constitution but with Donbass and Luhansk now Russian, in Russian legal terms, and Russian soldiers on limited expiring 6 month contracts being replaced by larger numbers of mobilised soldiers there's not much holding back an escalation. WWI arose out of a similar 'Great Game' scenario played out among the European powers, Archduke Ferdinand was just the final catalyst. Lots of cigarettes smoked in wars though... | cassini
02/1/2023 23:02 | Russians are going to do a huge offensive once the ground eventually freezes so wouldn't hold your breath. | valuehurts
02/1/2023 13:51 | Spud, you are clearly a big player on these boards and I sure like to have something close to your porfolio. Today, I am happy within a 3 fold increase in size of portfolio and the YoY divi returns since 2018. I hope this year can continue with reasonable returns. As usual, nothing is guaranteed and many surprises arrived always seem to pop up... My biggest hope and long shot is some kind of ceasefire in Ukraine. Is a massive drag on WW growth & risk, as well as the pain and suffering GLA | tornado12
31/12/2022 08:28 | £6410 for me but I'm overweight here. Not overly concerned though as I can see little reason to reduce with good visibility going forward.spud | spud
31/12/2022 00:45 | Yeah I can see that. What percentage of the overall portfolio was really what I was after. | valuehurts
31/12/2022 00:32 | I've been surprised at the quite a few people on here who appear to have 7+ figure SIPPS. I'm not one of them ;0( This probably explains my surprise ;0) [edit: updated the '6' to '7' - I was thinking of the number of trailing zeros when I originally wrote '6'!] | cassini
30/12/2022 23:59 | Must be holding 9531 shares x 49.31p dividend = £4699.73p dividend received 9531 shares x £20.73p = £197,577 That's impressive ! | philanderer
30/12/2022 22:57 | That's ridiculous. what position size is this in your portfolio? | valuehurts
30/12/2022 10:49 | Divi arrived this morning! £4.7k! Happy days. | saltaire111

26/12/2022 20:51 | Investors should always aim to be rational and take advantage of others irrationality. | valuehurts
26/12/2022 18:25 | VH: 'Anchoring exits to where you bought doesn’t make sense.' Except from the perspective* of human nature/pride and so on. *Irrational for stock-market investors of course, but 'tis human nature. | jrphoenixw2
23/12/2022 13:45 | Why would you be looking to exit the stock? If you believe there are better opportunities elsewhere just sell and buy them now. Anchoring exits to where you bought doesn't make sense. | valuehurts
23/12/2022 10:14 | Looking forward to 30 December. It will be my second Christmas Day! | saltaire111
14/12/2022 12:26 | Only succeed in pushing the business into black market and even more unregulated as new sellers will see the opportunity. Better to progress on less health critical products as the need to escape life pressures will remain for many years to come. Don’t see this ever working for any country and to dictate what people can and cannot do is road to ruin | tornado12
13/12/2022 18:24 | Nanny state. Bet the Maori people didn't vote for this. | irenekent
