Not surprised to see some profits taken today. This has certainly been a great performer these last 12 months.
I have not yet studied this transaction with the care it deserves.
The market cap of IPX at 107p (the price before the announcement) was c£135 million with Assets under Management of £7.2 billion. On this basis mkt cap was 1.9% of AUM.
PAX has AUM of $4.5 billion and IPX is paying $80 million (max) ie 1.78% of AUM.
This is a very crude calculation but suggests to me a fair enough price.
IPX will be taking on lots of debt to pay for PAX but the enlargement of the group may make it a more attractive investment for institutions.

Peel Hunt Report also out with a report suggesting a target price of £1.40. With some good AUM results due in october and some strong financials in dec we could be seeing £1.70+ share price by end of year.

Well this share is my biggest position by far. Bought 5 times between 40 and 50p last year. What a year they have had. Happy days. Not really tempted to sell yet. Sustainable investment is a real growth area and Impax are one of the early movers and now with critical mass.

So another 300m AUM added for August, taking us up to 7.245m AUM. £8bn this year continues to look like a strong possibility. Go IPX!

Indeed. Ive been gradually increasing my stake since 2007. A wonderfully run (as well as structured) company and should have some very exciting years ahead of it. One of AIM's best kept secrets!
