24/1/2015 15:23 | I think income funds are switching some money out of miners/oils because of the uncertainty over both and tobacco is one of the beneficiaries. | minerve
23/1/2015 18:50 | And the xd drop has been exceeded......I even thought of selling my holding today...on the possibility of a retracement....my finger hovered above the sell button....I didnt. I also see BATS is roaring ahead. | shutittrev
23/1/2015 17:28 | progressive yield, defensive most likely; maybe some were underweight. | philo124
23/1/2015 17:17 | Any ideas Phil?....broker upgrades, progressive yield, possible corporate action, defensive stocks in favour? Not complaining though..... | shutittrev
23/1/2015 17:13 | Fantastic. | philo124
23/1/2015 15:34 | No holding this baby back at the mo. | shutittrev
22/1/2015 17:29 | A big thank you to Imperial. | shutittrev
21/1/2015 20:17 | My target has been £32 for the last six months. I think £35 could now be on the cards by this time next year. Unless Milliplod & Sturgeon are running the country from their respective zoos. Update: Now gov.are proposing plain packaging before election - must be Clegg & Co and their killjoy friends at work. Might make it harder to pass off illegal imports from countries where plain packaging is not illegal. Always two sides to every coin. Wonder if its going to be illegal to sell empty re-fillable cartons alongside the plain filled packs. | irenekent
21/1/2015 17:25 | Impressive indeed. | philo124
21/1/2015 16:30 | Impressive Imps.....closing at an all time high?, | shutittrev
21/1/2015 10:43 | Maybe we will see £30 today :-) | losos
17/1/2015 09:54 | Imperial Tobacco was performing well after Morgan Stanley hiked its target price from 2,680p to 3,250p and named the stock its new top pick, saying it is "increasingly optimistic" about its pending $7bn acquisition of assets from Reynolds and Lorillard. | scottishfield
13/1/2015 20:16 | Here here well said. | supermarky
13/1/2015 16:23 | I couldn't agree more....left wing traitors. | shutittrev
13/1/2015 10:02 | If Milliplod gets too heavy companies will re-domicile. He never says anything to help business create growth He just looks around for another way to tax them. This man and Balls are a menace. Just remember the last labour gov. and the state they left the country in, both fiscally and socially. You only have to look at France to see what similar ideologies can lead to. | irenekent
13/1/2015 09:51 | These are global companies. Do you think some insignificant politician on a puny island where tobacco sales are becoming insignificant are going to stop investors? I don't think so. There have been far larger threats in the US with respect to litigation/health etc.. and so far, they have been relatively ignored. Best swat the little Wallace fly away. | minerve
13/1/2015 08:05 | Re Milli.. maybe his chances of getting elected are now viewed as small enough to be able to discount his threats/promises. | dogwalker
12/1/2015 21:20 | People buying for xd on Thursday me thinks. | supermarky
12/1/2015 20:28 | Quite surprised that the price didn't drop today given Millibands comment about the taxing of tobacco companies. | shutittrev
12/1/2015 14:54 | Resistance 2970 will it break before xd Thursday? | supermarky
12/1/2015 14:54 | Resistance at 2970 area. Will it break before xd Thursday? | supermarky
12/1/2015 10:07 | '....money from tobacco companies' are the words used at approx 46 minutes in on iPlayer, BBC (Andrew Marr 11/01/15). | dogwalker
11/1/2015 20:41 | There will no companies left to support his huge social projects. The guy hates seeing companies making money. Not in the real world | supermarky |
