I don't agree with Mansion Tax at all. Income tax, CGT, Stamp Duty, Business Property Relief etc.. already should set the level for tax receipts required. This is purely a PR exercise in selling an understandable tax to the masses and getting the votes. Most switched on owners could probably escape it anyway.

Split the property into two; one half owned by husband, one half owned by wife. Get the company to buy it. Sell it to a non-resident, non-domicile and pay rent....

You left out the Mansion Tax. You don't get much of a mansion for £2m in London and probably can barely pay the mortgage and council tax. If they want to save money they should limit the amount of benefits inc. free school meals etc. after the 2nd child. It's only the poor and the very rich who can now afford to have more than 2 and many middle class families don't get any child benefit at all now. I certainly don't think we should be paying benefits for children who don't even live here.

Most Labour voters pensions are guaranteed so they can just keep destroying the wealth and retirement of everybody else.

Largest holding, overweight to say the least; kept larger holding in SIPP, sold "trading" holding, good profit.

7.25% & 3.78% of my portfolio for me PHILO124 :) I wish they were my largest!

I feel the defensive sectors are the areas to be in now, bull run has lasted 5 years, its time to get defensive and protect those gains!

Tobacco / Utilities / REITs / Oil
