so, even though that offer was rejected as it was too low, a direct read across to IMM would result in an offer (based on the 'conservative' 940m euros per annum sales) of:

940m euros is $1.12bn
$1.12bn x 7.75 (factor based on above offer) is $8.68bn which is £6.41bn

that's £48.37 per share

In terms of take out price maybe its worth pointing out the offer by Novo Nordisk for Ablynx. It has been rejected as too low. The offer was $3.1bn for a drug with forecast peak sales of $400m. Apparently Novo liked the fact it focused on rare diseases and has drugs in the pipeline that treat conditions such as Lupus. There is a frenzy to buy into biotech platforms at the moment. If Lupuzor phase III is good this stock will be much much higher.

Looks to have been a good old fashioned smash n' grab by the mms - can now sell 85,000 straight away at above the mid, but they won't take 105,000. Possibly a buy order in place of circa 100k. This may not be an isolated incident and further ones could occur in the coming weeks as results are imminent. They'll happily push the price up and down to fill orders and they seem to know where stops are placed so they can easily find stock when needed for large orders.

i have to admire NYBOY, he seemed to know it would have a big flush out, back to 150 and below, before it ever gets to 200. So many must have stops in place and revised them, making the mm's job easy. I cant blame the holders who want to retain their profits.
