I've no idea what her plans might be in terms of further acquiring. This might just be messaging and so she has some basic incentive to advise at low cost to HH and the company. I really have no idea.

Price - totally agree about 3p. I picked it as easy to picture. Ultimately it will come down to the valuation RSM arrive at and what people in the ring are prepared to pay on top of that. This is where Vin might be useful as a backstop bidder of last resort so there is no need to abort if bids are lower.

The questions I have:

A) What valuation RSM arrive at?

B) What extra value will bidders expect to extract from existing customers they have they can cross sell to and that impacts what they are prepared to pay over the RSM valuation?

C) Is it likely there will be multiple hats in the ring to push it above the price arrived at in B)?

3p - no! What are bidders prepared to pay on the day?

BTW P1nkfih - do you think Vin will buy some more, adding to her 1.8% opening position? I guess any meaningful stake would be at least 6 figures?

Obviously, it all depends one's perceived upside & risk/reward - but personally I can't see any agreed bid going through at less than 3p/share (ie circa 2x revenues). Please though DYOR.

Wouldn't consider myself smart Brummy, just intrigued by the relationships.

She could fund this out of her back pocket.
A message has been sent to anyone that cares to be interested enough to look.

Many thanks P1nkfish - you're a smart cookie. Will be interesting to see if you're correct. I have to admit too she has a strong institutional following, so could easily fund something like this.

Cheaper, incentives matter, and a chance she will be involved with one bid/bidder.

1) Salary involves NI too and would need bonus element related to maximising sale value. BOD position can have limitations.

2) Shares incentive naturally aligns with ultimate aim of maximising IMTK sale value to the benefit of HH and all other shareholders. She may be buying more. Some further round number sales on Friday, wait to see what if anything arrives on 8.3's early next week.

3)HH can use the capital loss (shares sale) to offset a small amount of tax - helping reduce overall cost. Having Vin on side could increase the sale value enough to also offset even that loss. Overall cheaper than salary etc.

A chance Vin would be involved with a bid on the bidder side. If you want to maximise sale value it pays to have more than one bidder and always useful for one of the bidders to have a track record, be incentivized, and "on side".

Say it goes for 3p and she wants to bid then why not pick up as much stock as possible on the market sub 3p? Personally, I would go full in as soon as possible and not declare a paltry 4M out of 224M on an 8.3 but she can't lose anyway at her price. It advertising she's involved and SENDING A MESSAGE.

It just makes sense and is above board.

A very good sign for all involved. Management have the option to call a halt or reject any offer. I think this is now backstopped and will not be aborted. She's in a no lose position imho and so are shareholders anywhere near this price.

I have been wrong before.

Hi P1nkfish - BTW, if Hargreave Hale want Vin to advise on a possible sale, why don't they simply put her on the board & pay her instead?

In these types of situation, they don't usually sell stock at the same time? Particularly as the overall sums are peanuts. But hey, if you're right then it would be a positive move.

I would not be at all surprised to discover there is an offer from a turn around specialist with software background, links to at least one major shareholder, and who is still young enough to pull off another recovery story.

What do people think?

Brummy, have a read. 2+2.
HH+Vin.
Coincidence, I suspect not, but I'm often wrong.
Notice what she did in the past.

Vin picked up 3M and then 2x500K.

Weird that HH, as you noted Brummy, lightened up to the tune of 2M at such a low price at such a strange time having held on so long.

Interesting.

Vin Murria has added 1M to make a round 4M.
Software background, CEO and NED of Sophos + others.
No mug.

Some people are very well connected. Nice round numbers arrived on market.

Peculiar. Reduction of about 0.8%, 2M (?) shares out of a holding of just shy of 45.9M before the sale. Peanuts in the great scheme of things and not even a round number left at the end of it.

No idea what's on their mind.
Perhaps to cover some cost or other?

Anybody any thoughts why Hargreave Hale decided to trim their stake below 20%?

Seemed a strange move given they have stood by Imaginatik for such a long time? Perhaps their you owner, Canaccord, decided to push the issue? Or alternatively they just wanted to get out – albeit at a very low price?

AT least we're now on the way to the 2p marker, with the highest ask on show at 1.50p.

These were close to an intraday 9.5p August 21, 2016.

It appears the real bid/asks traded prices are now showing....1.194p v 1.30p, which is much better and also the ask on show is now raised to 1.10p.

I still feel next week will bring about a better picture and have an eventual result in my sighting range of somewhere in the (minimum)two pence to three pence range, so still plenty to go for at IMTK....even more so if there were to eventually be at least two bidders.

tomboyb, thank you for that...which is very close to the full ask of 1.30p.
I did a dummy online sell on 180k shrs and had an immediate offer of over 113.9p.
The latter's a vg premium to the currently showing bid of just the straight 1.0p.

It wouldn't surprise me, if next week we see the bid rise to a more sensible level and a closing of the spread - perhaps with both the bid/ask at a generally higher level.

Friday afternoon's never much of a serious affair, so I'm looking forward to seeing what shows here on Monday.

gl, with whatever.

A mark up by the mm' at the start - now showing 1p v 1.3p, although that wide spread is somewhat academic, although the rise is not so.

Level 2 is showing just three mm's on each side of the bid/ask.... all are now only showing 20k each.

NMS for IMTK is only 20k shrs, so powder is being kept dry, although no doubt the quantities can be expanded on enquiry. The first casualties are usually the readily available "Quote and Deal" offerings, even so, Limit Orders often then prevail.

Buyers getting into IMTk very cheaply at 1p, as I type.

Yes that is exactly what I think the board reckon too saying:

"the share price does not reflect either the value of the highly scalable platform itself, or the growth prospects available. Additionally, the Board is mindful that shareholder value may be maximised by a sale to a larger organisation that can accelerate growth through access to greater resources and an existing network of global clients."
