Danski PLM is still recomended to buy based on the white candle sticks, up 4 days on the trot, do you still recomend and will it in your opinion continue to rise.

As for EEL, just worth a peek, youre right nothing fundimental to get excited about.

So you're technically biased .... that explains everything .... i.e. common sence etc...!!
The 'problem' with low entry costs (hence an alternative company giving a lower
quote for same service) is that some FD's just don't understand the skill levels / experience required ... as you've mentioned 'Any old DJ-wannabee can select reasonable music' ..... and some FD's are happy to save a few bob and begrudge paying market rates for skills/experience (although they're very happy to take money out of the company in bonus's !!i!!! (Yes, I do dislike FD's !!!).
Haven't done research on ISD yet..... but hope the clients of ISD do appreciate the quality of the service ....

mikey_b .... you sound as if you have a fair understanding of the 'business' - both the sector and this company - have you been a holder of ISD for long?

This is the area of expertise that ISD bring and this provides the barrier to entry. Any old DJ-wannabee can select reasonable music but the subliminal "buy-mood" music linked to the store attributes and client base over the day is the ISD USP, IMHO.

The downside may be selling the concept to the stores although decent large chains will appreciate this the more.

This is why I see value here.

Thanks, didn't find much in the guide though and I read/write tech specs for a living so I am used to the formats.

I was hoping to see how the user would understand a track: rock, heavy, suitable for fetish shop with 80% female clients after 3:27pm only if a coffee is to hand etc etc...

What environment is Bowie: Changes suitable for etc

do you have a list of the meta-data headings to hand there Don? Just curious how they can be filtered.

>I take it you have experience of the work involved.
Spent longer than I care to admit in the 'entertainment' business. Gave-up when we had new CEO who expected me spend 80 hours a week at work .... (mainly because the new more cost efficient software / hardware package he insisted on was not able to fully function via remote access .... therefore I had to be physically in the locations...instead of sitting at home with a laptop and broadband connection).

>Someone somewhere has to catergorise the music too, in detail I would expect, to allow the software to make decent selections.
Can buy/lease off the shelf music libraries that come complete with all meta data and the copyright/royalty issues are also resolved in a single go.

>Pretty simple stuff in the final analysis so profits should be high.
Well, you said it .... 'pretty simple stuff' .... hence entry levels to get in to such a business are now lower than previously ... and getting easier / cheaper everyday ....

Lot of interest in this stock, volumes will be very high by the end of the day. About half a million shares traded yesterday and at this rate will be about the same today, without the aid of 400,000 shares bought yesterday by the Finance Director. I make it 240,000 traded tday to the time of writing: 12.50hrs.

Looking through the recent Google new archives I found this very interesting article which might interest some thinking of investing:

March 2007

"Chesterfield eBusiness successes Three north Derbyshire companies have won accolades in the eBusinessAwards for 2007 run by the East Midlands Development Agency.

Chesterfield-based Imagesound beat 25 other finalists to the top prize as eBusiness of the Year 2007, after demonstrating how they use technology to increase profits and improve customer fulfilment.

Two other local companies were successful - Cruise Ahead Ltd, a specialist travel agency won the Best eBusiness Start-up award and material development company NetComposites scooped the award for the Best Use of eBusiness.
Over 100 entries from across the East Midlands were received from a host of new companies who have realised the benefits of using ICT to run their business.

As well as their overall victory Imagesound, specialists in media and music, won the category for Increased Exports Through The Use of ICT.
Another Chesterfield company, Hike Bike and Ride Ltd, was highly commended in the same category.

Imagesound graduated from Tapton Park Innovation Centre to their own premises on Dunston Technology Park in 2002 while NetComposites are still based at the Centre".
