Well Ive just listened to the lackluster directors talk interview, one things definitely for sure the share price isn't shored up by any tech battery recent achievements. It's been almost 12 months since we were proudly shown the Golieth screen printing lab. So no actual progress on mat/ compasiation or battery performance. I thought Ilika were rapid materials selection specialist for self-healing aero engine super alloys and the rest. it's been a rough year and some set backs with the medical battery prototype sample production. But it's been sent to dozens of Oem's world wide for how many years?..still no takers. It's no good forking out £££ to set up a new 70x (which seems to have impressed so many) capacity line if you don't have customers lined up. I think the wishy washy questions asked by the interviewer were a waste of time.

The share price is indeed strong and the chart is looking healthy. If it can get through 100p and stay there it should fly. However, like the last time it did this in 2015, that may have absolutely nothing to do with the success of the company. It was all hot air then and looks to be the same now. I have been invested in the company, on and off, since 2014. I have visited the company HQ three times since then and have been shown around their research facilities. Athough I'm not an expert in batteries I have a degree in chemical engineering so I am capable of understanding their products which, imo, have shown promise. The thing is...building a successful, profitable company is not based on having good products alone. A few other aspects are crucially important. You must know what those are and make your own judgement.

The opinion of the market is that IKA is worth 125% more than it did at the start of May and 3 times what I paid for my small investment early in 2019. It seems that a number of posters on this thread have a completely different opinion from those who have put their money on the line and bid the share price up. Hopefully more will pile in and the company eventually comes very good.

"pitching their relatively unprotected screen-printing model against world titans like Tesla and Panasonic." Yeah, coz Toyota are nobodies. I mean they *only* sell 20x the number of vehicles Tesla do. Complete lightweights.

Robert - they are now a one trick pony - they could and should have kept on with there other innovations. They did not even capitalise on the selling off of these to other organizations / University / Start ups. When you look at fundraising you have to be realistic, its Insti's gambling money. They throw a couple of million into a start up knowing that x percent will thrive / fail. To you and I its a lot of money - to them its small change. Erm don't compare to Ceres - that ain't exactly rolling it out! :-)

Share price and fundraising support indicates strong confidence in management. Look at Ceres ... it took a while but now a fantastic British tech unicorn. Ilika a few years behind and yes there are tough competitors. Ilika are very good at R&D and innovation, just need to get the scale up model right like Ceres.

They have provided absolutely no information whatsoever so, what makes you say that they are "doing a very steady and impressive job"? Imo Stearax is going nowhere and Goliath might, just might, have some leverage but they are pitching their relatively unprotected screen-printing model against world titans like Tesla and Panasonic. It's a brave person who backs them in that fight. Should they have called it "David" instead of Goliath?

Its actually good to see a cautious Board running a tech company. Most fail due to stupid growth projections, consequently high valuations and poor execution. These guys are doing a very steady and impressive job, they just don't shout about it. There is a real long term value opportunity here if they can gain technological leadership in pouch cells. The imminent IPO of QuantumScape via a SPAC deal will demonstrate the value potential

and from the Lemon fool: Ilika (IKA) the serial disappointer guides H1(Oct) broadly in-line with mgmt exp. Rev 'recognition' (is that the same as rev?) down c.13%. Plans to ramp Goliath battery pre-pilot line (1 kWh/week) to 10 kWh/week by 2022 with grant funding. [SP=94.45 Cap=131m] Serial disappointer - I concur with that supposition!
