18/7/2020 09:46 | I think that's because they couldn't get a manufacture to make Stereax at the right price. Presumably because the setup costs are so enormous. They are in the usual catch 22 situation of not being able to bring the price down low enough for a mass market until a mass market exists...which it might, if they could get the price down low enough. Myself, I don't think the IOT (internet of things) market exists yet and won't do until 5G is pervasive. Corvid has probably pushed that back another two or three years. So they're reduced to targeting the specialist markets including medical, high and low temp, and hard-to-access. Trouble is, they still can't supply at a sensible cost or in bulk. Goliath is another thing altogether. I hope they find a workable battery but even if they do I cannot see where the IP is, thus no pricing power. Anyway, good luck Ilika. | horneblower
18/7/2020 09:09 | I'm still struggling to get my head around the fact Ilika is now aiming to be a manufacturer...going from a prototype University lab pilot rig that's been supplying globally scores of sample batteries for test and valadation...for a couple of years now.. 17/7/2020 23:40 | I'm doubtful we'll get anything until virtually all combinations are explored. There may be an obvious optimal set of parameters but more likely there'll be several nodes with associated peaks, requiring a vast number of trials to find the best combo. Pity that Ilika's old system of high-speed materials discovery doesn't apply here. | horneblower
17/7/2020 21:46 | We just need a technical update on Goliath. We had fairly regular updates on the micro solid state. | a.fewbob
17/7/2020 21:29 | He may have a good point but he's not making it very well. Anyway, many a hollow company has had spectacular share price movements, so the reality behind the fundamentals is irrelevant, non. | horneblower
17/7/2020 20:41 | The clarity is excellent, but sadly the supporting argument leaves a lot to be desired. | supernumerary
17/7/2020 20:39 | Time to buy more on this dip. Potential for this technology is huge - just have to be patient for when profits from Goliath start flowing in a couple of years. | barnold
17/7/2020 20:07 | MRF - Given that's your first post here, a cynical observer might think that you wanted to encourage the fall in order to take a position as cheaply as possible. While I yield to no-one in the depths of my cynicism, I'm always pleased to hear a well-argued bear case, so please give us the benefit of your insight. | supernumerary
17/7/2020 18:49 | Of course you all realise this company and its business plan is Absurd and the reality of the matter is that its worthless. You all knew that right? | my retirement fund

17/7/2020 09:20 | A nice summary & info for any newbies: | tp5588
17/7/2020 08:22 | A.F. I think the 21700 is the industry standard as things are. Since there are no solid state batteries in the market as yet, there's currently no standard. I think Ilika's pouch dimensions were suggested by some committee or other. It might become the standard...or not. | horneblower
16/7/2020 21:14 | I think IKA’s battery is a pouch because that is the industry standard. I suppose it could be made other shapes if required. | a.fewbob
16/7/2020 12:09 | hidden, that's pretty much what I think. | horneblower |
