25/9/2018 17:29 | Fall overdone imv, probably to let all the major shareholders snap up those 10 million new shares at a bargain price as no 'major holding'RNS yet! The first lot went for £5.05 which is the same price that Anders sold his for last week which is strange as the share price was circa £6 at the time! | time 2 retire

19/9/2018 16:12 | Good to see from today's RNS that the placing was "significantly oversubscribed", and that the over subscription has been satisfied with a Trust disposal of 500,000 shares, getting a potentially large seller out of the way: | rivaldo
17/9/2018 14:45 | anyone - Any snippets from TMI . I subscribe to SCSW but not TMI. I'd imagine similar comments? | ihatemms
17/9/2018 14:36 | I thought we'd have a bit of interest today after the weekends write up in "the momentum investor" but obvious now that RNS been released the mm's will drop the price again to allow the big shareholders to top up on the cheap, should soon recover and move to new highs IMO | time 2 retire
14/9/2018 08:10 | I can't see a reason why we have this drop first thing! Not warranted... May have been an error, moving back up now. | time 2 retire
13/9/2018 09:07 | SCSW updated on IGR last weekend. Amongst other comments: - Impact is a "superb looking acquisition" - With Walmart as a "key customer", this creates "the world's largest consumer gift packaging business" - "significantly earnings enhancing" It concludes "I think the shares are going way higher. I think £8. Keep buying." Enough said..... | rivaldo

04/9/2018 10:19 | Today's fall is due to Questor in the Telegraph saying bank profits given the share price rise and risks attached to the new American acquisition. I have to say I disagree :o)) Firstly, like most journalists' info the forward P/E they state of 24 is completely meaningless since it excludes the benefits of the acquisition. At 571p now, the current year P/E is 22, and this falls to only 18 for next year starting 1/4/19 given 31.5p forecast EPS. And this forecast is "conservative" since it includes no cross-selling benefits and procurement synergies. The risk of taking on American acquisitions is nullified by IGR's excellent prior record, and frankly there are many, many more acquisitions which work well than there are disasters. I agree that the additional seasonality brought in by Impact's acquisition is unwelcome. However, the addition of Walmart as a significant customer has to be a good thing. Above all, you just have to read the new research notes to appreciate the scale of the additional potential cross-selling and synergies now available to IGR in the USA.... | rivaldo

29/8/2018 10:41 | IG Design, which makes greetings cards and gift wrapping, has announced plans to buy US-based gift packaging maker Impact Innovations for £56.5m on a cash and debt free basis. The Bedfordshire-based company said it had raised £50m through a share placing to help fund the acquisition. The deal will make IG Design Group the largest gift packaging business in the world, with the combined business accounting for about 22pc of the overall consumer gift packaging market in the US and Canada. IG said it would be making the most of parties around the Super Bowl Sunday, Thanksgiving and the US Independence Day with its new acquisition, and will be boosted by the growing market in America for seasonal decorative products, which is estimated to be worth $26bn (£20bn) and set to increase by 2.9pc between 2018 and 2023. In the year to Dec 31, Minnesota-based Impact Innovations generated $155.9m of revenue, of which $7.1m was pre-tax profit. IG Design said it expects the acquisition to bring annual synergies of more than $5m by the third year following completion. Paul Fineman, chief executive, said: "The combination of Impact Innovations with Design Group not only doubles the scale of our business in the Americas, it further enhances the overall performance and growth potential of our whole group whilst continuing to illustrate our delivery of the group's stated strategy. He said Impact Innovations has "a strong track record of consistent robust financial performance and cash generation". "As a combined group, we have a significant opportunity to capitalise on our now enlarged scale and breadth of offering to our customer base of many of the world's largest and most successful retailers." | jeff h
28/8/2018 11:43 | It's not too long until the new financial year starting next April. With 31.4p EPS now forecast by Cenkos (and Progressive now going for 31.5p EPS) it's certainly possible to see a share price anywhere between 620p-700p fairly soon. | rivaldo
28/8/2018 10:39 | Cenkos; IG Design has announced the conditional acquisition of Impact Innovations Inc, in the USA funded by the first tranche of a two part £50.0m placing. A successful acquisition of Impact is expected to make IG Design the largest consumer Gift Packaging business in the world, doubling IG Design’s US revenue. IG Design intends to buy 100% of Impact on a debt-free/cash-free basis for £56.5m, on a EV/EBITDA of 4.9x. We upgrade our forecasts, with our FY20E adjusted EPS increasing 15% to 31.4p. Buy. | davebowler
