big trades was IDOX in any indexes & gonna drop out due to the share price crash ? ..which would force a fund to sell their holding .... or any funds have rules on debt ratios ...which might require them to sell their IDOX holdings ? ---- one trade is about 12M shares & if add up the other trades they add to around 11M....a similar number moving between instis seems logical answer to me if so then it shows phps that instis are willing to provide support at 30p & they have cash available to use...

Smithie was right. The level of debt is scary along with all the unknowns. Does it need a placing or can it survive without one?

Better a bird in the hand and let your profits ride TRCML. Still with good news your average maybe broken very soon.

Hopefully the bottom was reached earlier today. One would expect many sellers at between 35p and 40p+ to be buying again. Got my timing right, my addition earlier today is already showing a small profit. Early days. And hopefully I can hold my nerve which on past form could do with some encouragement: for example, I bought into Thomas Cook at 18p then sold at 24p only to watch that share price soar to over £1!

sharkie if I gain from a 'possible' bounce I will try not to post claiming Im a hero !....bounces often happen...Clock expected one... but any RNSs can/will move the share price in big amounts, up or down. see what happens (normally I wouldnt touch something with so much debt and unknowns/problems....but they have got some profitable turnover so might fix things over time & KC (& the sunshine band) is well regarded I think, or was; oh no, I shouldnt post anything hopeful !))

The dog is out the trap and running towards the winning post for those taking advantage of the run of events. Quick Profits if a bid is in the pipeline, or positive RNS from the company.

North Lanarkshire Council chooses Idox for complete elections service Published: 20 December 2017 Following a competitive tender process, Idox Elections has been awarded a contract with North Lanarkshire Council, where it will support the delivery of an efficient, transparent and reliable elections service until 2020. The partnership sees Idox replace incumbent supplier Democracy Counts in the provision of a comprehensive Electoral Management System (EMS). The contract includes the production and delivery of all print requirements for every election within the contract period, including poll cards, ballot books and postal packs for an electorate of approximately 255,000. Idox will also provide the Council’s Postal Managed Service, allowing North Lanarkshire to scan and verify 100% of returned postal votes and associated postal vote statements. The contract builds on Idox’s recent e-count success in Scotland and coincides with a similar electoral services contract win in Tayside, due to commence in January 2018. The Tayside Procurement Consortium – on behalf of Angus, Dundee City and Perth & Kinross Councils – has selected Idox to fulfil all print requirements, as well as deliver the Postal Voting Management Solution (PVMS) for each Council.

Took quite a few today. Surely PE would be seriously interested at this valuation? Servelec got taken out at 11 times EV/EBITDA recently. dyor

The expected start of the bounce seems to be underway at last, nice to see it back around 28p - we might even get a RNS before the break about a large stakeholder. Sellers must be drying up and shorts must be closing, forcing the share price upwards. Tomorrow could see us up towards 32p+ imo

TRCML ...imo you shouldnt be scared of accounts... a lot of it is not difficult at all... and I think most people would suggest you use the cashflow data since harder to frig than the profit number...and of course the assets-debt data imho if you are going to make your own share picks then you must read the accounts...and sadly that means for the last 5 years, for any share you are thinking of buying... and of course dont base any buy/sell decisions directly on message board posts, but do one's own research.

This morning added, average share price now 39.5p but I stand to make a few bob if/as and when the share price goes up by around 10% imo IDOX is a solid company with a good reputation and steady and growing recurring revenue. For me, there are two types of company: one type is a giood business but not a good investment, the other is a good business and a good investment. Idox fulfils my criteria for the latter. Unfortunately, tip sheets having stimulated private investor interest and fuelled demand for shares such that the pe was around 23 which in my view was far too high and needed careful monitoring to avoid getting caught out. As for this latest turn of events, I'm not into reading too much into accounts (mainly because I don’t understand the jargon let alone what I’m supposed to be looking for, but I reckon that this is probably just an accounting hiccup. Just because lots of private investors are running scared and getting out doesn't mean that IDOX itself is in deep trouble. As for Smithie6 raking over the pieces in the hope of finding something to persuade him/her to buy, good luck with that but it doesn't mean anyone else should have to think as S does. And if when the figures are released in Feb S is proved right then good for him. But whatever the figures I don't think this turn of events marks the end of Idox. On the contrary, tidying up the accounts and figures should make Idox stronger

You like repeating yourself, and blowing a lot of hot air, maybe you should try talking to REAL people in that cafe you are sitting in, if they would listen, and I have my doubts about that, as I guess you would bore them with your repetition. Heaven help any partner you may have, if there is one. :-) What great support this has at 27p

Clock ...I have gone out to escape from the fumes of painting... ....looking at IDOX gives me something to do while I sit in a cafe....beats looking out of the window for ages.. ----- 1) has anyone else calculated the expected turnover (previous turnover + acquisitions) versus the likely turnover ? to see if turnover is as expected or is higher or lower I have. Everyone else is just too lazy. ----- 2) btw imho various acquisitions were operating at about break even 3) imho the website creation companies that were bought a) imho never did and never will make money, although they do add capability and skills it is all handmade work using expensive staff and if those staff ever have no work they then nail/kill the bottom line 4) so imo it is not a big surprise that profitability has actually fallen...despite having spent a lot of money on acquisitions. ---- Updated/added imho the numerous acquistions below 6M, almost all paid for using cash mostly with no earn out imo a beginners mistake (obvious event is for bosses and key staff to leave and do a new start up using the wadge of cash they have just received; mostly for companies not making any profits (although if remove directors pay then perhaps they do, but all businesses need active bosses otherwise they flounder, and those bosses will want to get bosses pay.)

Always pleased to see any posts Smithie6 but I am still wondering why you are following this with such passion? I can guess why you post so negatively and so often but we will see which way this goes before the year turns I expect, and my money is on a decent bounce upwards, at the very least.
