The bad weather could well have had a beneficial effect with buyers online or sitting watching Ideal shopping on TV.

perhaps a few selling because NXT said the late part of Christmas punters were going to the shops for fear the deliveries wouldn't get to them by Christmas.

Don't see how you can sell on the basis of that just a two week period 'might' be a tad weak when it's a one off too - investors make allowances going fwd imo.

Anyway - trading statement soon so we'll see.

Daily Mail - 9/12/10:

Lights! Camera! Now flog these garlic peelers!

Behind the scenes at QVC, the shopping channel that's seduced the middle classes

Once something of a laughing stock, sneered at in polite society, it is now attracting audiences of around seven million a month, and they're not all watching to see if someone walks on set with their skirt tucked in their knickers. They're buying stuff. Loads of it.

Last weekend, on one of the busiest shopping days of the year, they did a staggering £6m of business. Net sales last year were a whopping £367.9 m - an average £1m a day, partly explained by the growth of 'laptop viewers' who use the internet, rather than the phone, to place their orders.

Far from being the last resort of the underemployed, QVC is now adored by the middle classes too. And unlike most shops, QVC doesn't need armies of sales staff. Instead, there are just 25-odd presenters, a cross between Generation Game hostesses and air stewards

breaking out here - through the recent resistance - will add a load more as it goes through that high.

Looks like that 860k buy last week was a well informed trade imo.

News on the sale of the co coming hopefully.
