12/7/2010 19:17 | are directors selling cos its going ex growth very soon? | dnfa1975
12/7/2010 18:01 | huge big reverse head and shoulders there. When the punters see tghe results and then realise the co is up for sale these are going way higher imo. Cr | cockneyrebel
12/7/2010 12:44 | Going great guns today, only 10p away from breakout now. W/E press speculation confirmed..... The Board of Ideal Shopping Direct notes the recent press speculation regarding a potential sale of the Company. The Board confirms that it intends to undertake a review of its strategic options, which could include a sale of the Company. | bigbigdave
11/7/2010 11:59 | These would be sold off much higher than today's price imo. I took a look and at Friday's close the year end net cash position stood at £13.4m, 27% of the market cap and up 100% on a year ago. At the current rate of cash generation they could have near £18-£20m net cash at the interims in Sep - that would be around 40% of the current market cap. CR | cockneyrebel
11/7/2010 10:00 | Sunday Times........ Shopping channel sale to net founders 20m The two founders of a home shopping company are close to putting the business up for sale in a move that could net them more than 20m. AIM listed Ideal Shopping which runs the Ideal World and Create and craft tv channels is expected to appoint Rothschild before the end of the month to consider options for its future. Can't access article online but goes on to mention Home retail group owner of Argos and Homebase as potential buyers. | bigbigdave
10/7/2010 10:33 | no growth at MUBL - earnings forecast to fall. IDS pays a divi too. CR | cockneyrebel
10/7/2010 10:10 | Mubl is far better value, make twice as much profits for half the market cap and pays a good dividend ! | watchout2
10/7/2010 09:56 | Interesting article in SCSW today. Singer now forecasting £1.5m pbt for H1 - that would be a £2.7m improvement on last year. pre tax profit in H2 last year was £2.5m. They just need to do a £1.2m improvement to H2 to meet forecasts when the weaker H1 was up £2.7m. Forecasts look way too low imo - SCSW say the forecasts are eering low too. £5.2m pbt will be a 300% increase. The £7.7m pbt for the comuing year is another 50% increase. Mega growth on a single digit PE (based on the 15.9p eps forecast for the coming year) and forecasts on the low side. 25% of the market cap in net cash too. Cash adjusted the PE for the current year is 8.8. Possibly the lowest PEG going and paying a divi and heaps of cash. CR | cockneyrebel
06/7/2010 09:09 | Cannot sell 2k online. Another illiquid one cr, tut tut after everything you said ! Oh and what a surprise, Dave is here too :-)) | watchout2
06/7/2010 09:04 | buyers moving in - long overdue a bounce imo. CR | cockneyrebel
06/7/2010 09:04 | Do we have lift off? | bigbigdave
18/6/2010 13:08 | I see Singer are now forecasting £5.2m pbt, 13p eps 2.6p divi, sales of £114m. So just on those forecasts PE of 12 for the current year falling to 10 next year. If sales were £103m last year and are up 17.9% this year they are on course for sales this year of £120m+. Forecasts are for sales to rise £9m and profits to rise £4m. If they are on corse to raise sales £18m then profits will be a lot higher than current forecasts imo, even tho they've been raised. You don't get growth this good on a fwd PE of 10 as forecast for long imo and the forecasts are too light - going higher imo. CR | cockneyrebel
18/6/2010 12:53 | cheers B-B-D. Someone's buying - couple of nice 50K's just gone through :-) CR | cockneyrebel
16/6/2010 06:03 | FT Ideal Shopping Direct shares rise By Hannah Kuchler Published: June 16 2010 01:38 | Last updated: June 16 2010 01:38 Shares in Ideal Shopping Direct, the TV shopping channel, rose 7 per cent to 165½p after full-year forecasts were upgraded on the back of an 18 per cent rise in sales in the 21 weeks to the end of May. Group sales rose 10.5 per cent excluding the contribution from Lead The Good Life, the mail order gardening company acquired in January. Like this bit Ideal Shopping Direct is launching a rival to Pets at Home at the beginning of July. Animal Bargains will have its own website and shows on the Ideal Shopping channel, but may in time expand to its own channel, like Ideal's Create and Craft division. The retailer has hired Chris Palmer-Smith who was a senior buyer at Pets at Home. | bigbigdave
15/6/2010 10:16 | These will surprise to the good at the results imo Big-B-Dave, that's their way under Hancox. Will be interesting to see what 'substantial' is. The fact they are paying a divi from the interim half is very positive, thought they might wait till year end. Sales are up 17.9% compared to last year - they were up 17.5% at the year end results - means currently in recent weeks they are up over 18% and the comparisons have got tougher to beat too. 17.9% up on sales should nean around £121m sals for the year at the current rate, consensus is for around £114m. Given the operational gearing and the increased margins then the eps should come in way ahead of forecasts imo. These were doing 17p eps on 79m sales back in 05 so that gives you an idea of the potential imo - and paying 3p divi. Net cash of £8m at the year end - must have risen somewhat too imo. £56m mkt cap so something like 20% of the market cap in cash and no debt. Looks chuffin cheap to me. CR | cockneyrebel
15/6/2010 08:04 | Breaking out already. | bigbigdave
15/6/2010 08:03 | Only managed 2,000 and it took a little refreshing on the TDW browser to get them! | davidcod
15/6/2010 07:28 | Absolutely stunning update! Frauddy, you were asking -'Where's the divi?' Well it's being delivered from H1 this year. :-) If as they say they will make a substantial profit in H1 that's gonna be 4p eps imo - an 8p improvement over H1 last year. They did 8p eps in H2 last year - can expect at least a 6p eps improvement in H2 after this - that means 18p eps minimum and a divi and net cash. Going up substantially imo. CR | cockneyrebel
15/6/2010 07:08 | Nice update, doesn't get much better than that. Must be well ahead of forecasts. Dividend reintroduced too. | bigbigdave |
