30/3/2010 10:42 | crookney, with cannibalisation you need to decide which of the two overpriced chips you should flog - "In the pursuit of this strategy, in January 2010, we acquired the home shopping gardening business, Lead The Good Life (LTGL). " flying brands may well find not only their lunch gets eaten, but their dinner as well......but it may give IDS indegestion... share price needs an Alka Seltzer methinks.... | ydderf
28/3/2010 15:23 | Bit disappointed no coverage in the Sundays or share rags since the fantastic results last week. Hopefully next week. | paddyberry
26/3/2010 18:23 | 13K of it was a non-exec director buying BigBigDave :-) RNS after hours - not even making a big deal of it by announcing during the open. Or perhaps there's good news coming and they'd prefer to tuck the director buy out of the way :-) Clearly he should have listened to Frauddy who knows the company much better than a director! CR | cockneyrebel
26/3/2010 13:20 | Wow, someone's confident! Directors buying perhaps. | bigbigdave
26/3/2010 13:15 | Massive buys - sold the house to go in here have you Frauddy? Cr | cockneyrebel

24/3/2010 19:04 | RNS Number : 1365J Ideal Shopping Direct PLC 24 March 2010 ? +------------------- | For Immediate Release | 24 March 2010 | +------------------- Ideal Shopping Direct Plc ('the Company') Correction to Preliminary Results Announcement The Company announces that in the Preliminary Results announcement dated 23 March 2010, the following sentence was included in the paragraph entitled Cash Flow and Debt: "The net cash outflow of GBP5.0 million arose from the following; GBP3.0 million cash inflow from operating activities, GBP3.6 million from improvement in working capital (predominantly reduced stock holding and improvement in creditor payment terms) and GBP1.3 million income tax received being the return of 2008 payments on account." The Company can confirm that the word "outflow" in this sentence should have read "inflow" and that the sentence should therefore have read as follows: "The net cash inflow of GBP5.0 million arose from the following; GBP3.0 million cash inflow from operating activities, GBP3.6 million from improvement in working capital (predominantly reduced stock holding and improvement in creditor payment terms) and GBP1.3 million income tax received being the return of 2008 payments on account." | cockneyrebel
24/3/2010 11:36 | i had so many doublers and triplers and even (CAL) an 8 bagger last year (didn't you?) that your right, I can't remember them all! you haven't addressed the general problem in this market 1. There aren't enough penny flippers and salami slicers of microcaps for you to ply your trade. 2. There is nearly zero investment interest from private holders in small caps and even less from so called institutions 3. This means that there has to be a good reason to buy and hold shares with no divis, or mediocre (yes a p-e of above 10 is rarely justified) ratings the Crookney Crocks are a growing sub sector - your sell by date is well past my friend, the game has moved on but you haven't take a tip from me, isntead of spewing the usual Cattles and L Garner (btw that was 6-7 years ago - a real sign of desperation) if you want gems, swallow your pride and buy DWSN and CARE - and maybe you can look forward instead of back..... | ydderf
24/3/2010 10:40 | I'm in here from 50p Frauddy - looks like it's going beautifully imo. Bit of profit taking but not much considering they are still higher than yesterday. SCSW will be the next trigger for a big rally imo - only a couple of weeks away. 'poor record' - I don't think so - they had a bad time for a year under different management - buty as you'll remember (as you used to hold these) sales go heavily to the bottom line and the last time IDS were making this sort of money they were trading miles higher. The CEO bought half a million too so he has skin in the game. I bet even if you never had dementia you still wouldn't be able to remember the last stock you had that was up 200% in 6 months or so! Bad luck - but I can understand why you follow me so much - these multi baggers are just so delightful to hold :-) CR | cockneyrebel
24/3/2010 08:45 | crookney, not going your way again, you really do need to address the question of what is an appropriate price and why, when you punt. there is not much here for INVESTORS you see. No divi, poor record, not much in the way of assets, poor visibility..... for a penny scalper there may be a turn to be had, but no way is it an investment you need to move with the zeitgeist my friend, otherwise you will look more and more like the dinosaur we suspect you really are, think of how terrifying it will be for the Coypu next time you appear poised over the pond with some goodies - they will look up and see Tyrannsauraus Rex and get collecitve heart failure! | ydderf
23/3/2010 19:22 | Brokers have upgraded 2010 to £4.4m pbt and 11.1p eps fully diluted and without any of the tax credits IDS got this year. Not sure whether they'll get those tax credits next year but they still have around £11m of losses from last year so there could be tax credis on top odf that again in the coming year. The above forecasts are based on £110m sales forecasts which looks well conservative seeing they did £47m sales last year in H1 and sales are up 17.5%. I'd have thought the sales would be £10m more than that as they have the acquisition from last year and a new channel they have started in March. The broker note does say that they have allowed for full dilution but they haven't gone to the max as far as the earnings potential this year goes and that there's scope for more upgrades. I still think the clean eps has to be more like 16p+ for the year with margins having risen 380 basis points and again the brokers ar leaving room for the co to beat by some way. If they do get the tax credits again this year on top of the brokers forecasts then 23-25p eps looks likely imo. The note says that they did £2.2m pbt in H2 and that sort of makes a mokery of a forecast of £4.4m with sales growing that fast, the added sales channels and the higher margins imo. I reckon SCSW must give these a big up in the next issue. Even without a tax credit 16p eps this year would be a single digit PE for 200%+ earnings growth. in 04 and 05 these did £4m pbt and £7m pbt - the shares traded at 200p-400p after that. CR | cockneyrebel
23/3/2010 12:08 | H1 sales are currently up 17.5%. H1 last year had £47.4m sales. H2 last year had £55.9m sales. H1 this year is on course for 55.5m at the current rate (ie 17.5% higher) and as margins have improved throughout H2 then margins in H1 should be higer than H2 the year gone. On that basis the 11.2p eps done in H2 should be bettered in H1 this year imo. Look well on course to do 25p eps this year imo, without any acquisition. CR | cockneyrebel
23/3/2010 12:01 | Yep, my broker is looking out for broker notes for me. Saw this on Dow Jones: LONDON (Dow Jones)--U.K. home shopping channel retailer Ideal Shopping Direct PLC (IDS.LN) Tuesday said a move in to pet products is among possibilities for its acquisition strategy this year. The firm is on the look out for deals that will take it in to new markets, and Chief Executive Mike Hancox said the firm's television channel was ideal for demonstrating pet products. "We're looking at additional strands to our crafts business, such as cake decorating and jewelry, but pets could be a strand," he told Dow Jones Newswires Tuesday. "Our customers, who are older, tend to have pets and we will be testing in that area. A lot of pet products need explaining. When they're in a box on the shelf you don't always know what they are and we can bring them to life on TV," he said. Ideal Shopping Direct's main channel is Ideal World, which is broadcast on Sky, Virgin Media and Freeview. "TV would be a great way of demonstrating to people how to use some sort of pet feeding system or brush for dogs," Hancox added. Company Web site: www.idealshoppingdir If they buy profitabe businesses with cash they will be immediately earnings enhancing - uping the eps even further. CR | cockneyrebel
23/3/2010 10:44 | Indeed CR No doubt you will keep an eye out for these notes when they are out? EPS of about 25p you think? Also, I particularly like this from todays statement :- The scale of the business turnaround since 2008 has been "SIGNIFICANT" and the management team are "EXCITED" about the growth prospects for the Company. 4BF | 4bidnforest
23/3/2010 10:01 | Fantastic 4bid :-) Just waiting for the broker upgrades now. CR | cockneyrebel
