So, when i bought 20k worth of I3E shares last Friday, then sold them for a 9% profit yesterday, I made around £1800, question is who's money did that belong to? Thats right Columbo its your money! LOL! ........Whens the next dip? OH, there it is....lol

There a lot of shares in issue so obviously a little sluggish. Second, there is a dividend causing a drag on progress.
You have to ask yourself, are you a longterm holder? If yes, then the value will out and you’ll probably reinvest your divi at these prices. Short term holders are getting frustrated and will already be eyeing their next move.
Me? I’m a LT hold so don’t care if we take a year to get to 30p.

This is the reason: Basically the market needs to absorb and churn £40 million of stock. Since July , retail punters may be involved in say £5-£10 million but the rest need to be bought up by institutional investors. Typical that the big placees will flip them for 10-15% profit...

i3 Energy plc (AIM:I3E) (TSX:ITE), an independent oil and gas company with assets and operations in the UK and Canada, is pleased to announce that its wholly owned Canadian subsidiary has signed into escrow, pending receipt of irrevocable commitments for the Placing (as defined below), a definitive agreement with Cenovus Energy Inc., a senior Canadian oil and gas producer, to acquire certain petroleum and infrastructure assets within i3's Central Alberta core area (the "Assets"), for a total consideration of CA$65 million (US$53.7 million) (the "Acquisition"). The strategic Acquisition delivers extensive operational synergies, predictable low-decline production, a large reserve base with multi-year development inventory and expected strong free cash flow.

The Company intends to raise a minimum of GBP40 million (before expenses) through a placing of new ordinary shares of GBP0.0001 each in the capital of Company (the "Placing Shares") at a price to be confirmed (the "Issue Price") (the "Placing"). The Placing will be conducted through an accelerated bookbuild (the "Bookbuild"), which will be launched immediately following the publication of this Announcement. The Placing is subject to the terms and conditions set out in the Appendix to this announcement (which forms part of this announcement, such announcement and its Appendix together being this "Announcement").
