28/6/2021 10:00 | WHI updatei3 Energy (i3E) Corporate Operational update Market Cap £68.8M Share Price 9.45pi3 Energy announced that the A-52-G horizontal gas well located on the company's Noel acreage in Northeast British Columbia, Canada, was brought onstream at a higher rate than anticipated. Production from the well has averaged 650 boe/d since being brought onstream on 17 June 2021 (on a ¼ inch choke). That is 30% greater than the expected flow rate of 500 boe/d. The company indicated that reserve additions associated with the well will be booked in the company's 2021 year-end reserves update. Importantly, the company indicated that the well has derisked similar offsetting drilling locations. The company also announced that that the Marten Hills 01-12-075-26W4 well targeting the Clearwater play was spud on 15 June 2021. As at 26 June, five of the eight horizontal lateral sections of the well (averaging 1661m in length) had been drilled in the Clearwater formation from that wellbore with operational progress on time and on budget. The laterals have encountered shoreface sand with 24% to 27% average porosity and have all encountered evidence of oil shows on cuttings. Drilling operations are ongoing and the company indicated that after drilling the eighth lateral the well will be remobilised to commence drilling of the second well in the Marten Hills/Clearwater programme. Production from the 01-12-075-26W4 well is anticipated to be brought onstream during July.WHI View: i3 Energy is building extraordinary momentum at the operational level. The Noel well's outperformance is impressive and that the result derisks offsetting locations is significantly positive for the company's growth outlook. In our opinion, the company's first Clearwater well has every indication of being a prolific Clearwater well. Although the well's productivity needs to be proven by actual production data, we believe the penetration by the well of shoreface sands, which are typically associated with extremely high quality reservoirs, is extremely promising. The indicated porosity levels combined with oil shows supports our intuition that the company may have some of the most attractive drilling locations in North America from an economic perspective. Our fair value estimate is under review for an upward revision. For reference prior to placing our fair value estimate under review it was 25.4p, of which 15.7p related to the company's Canadian operation with the remainder relating to its UK North Sea assets. We believe today's news is price material and positive. | neo26

28/6/2021 08:09 | Great stuff, Noel on at 30% higher rate than previously thought and Clearwater laterals going very well too. Great news and a very good way to start the week as the company heads for 10,000boepd. Tony, We'll see as not all of I3E's production is hedged and look at the oil price since Q1! NTM NOI has went from around $31m to now US$44m for this financial year, so the dividend will be heading up for sure. Now Noel is coming on stronger than expected now too. So a little change higher or lower on the interim dividend is neither here nor there for those of us that are here for Serenity development. Regards, Ed. | edgein

27/6/2021 11:29 | Edgein, Just reading your post on expected dividends - I'm personally quite bullish and think that dividends will grow significantly in the quarters to come. However, the next dividend (H1) I believe will be less on a quarterly basis than the special dividend. Why: 1) I3e costs were higher and profits were lower than the market expected. You will note that i3e disassociated the special dividend from q1 cash flow. They also commented on high costs in their report. i.e. the special dividend was greater than 30% of q1 cash flow. 2) Production is flat to slightly declining in the H1 period. The additions are only comming online at the end of Q2 into Q3 3) 50% of production is hedged at significantly lower prices than current. Special Dividend is £1.16m, H1 dividend I think we be around £1.6m to £1.8m i.e. around £0.9m on a quarterly basis. H2 dividend will be significantly higher due to higher production. This is what my spreadsheet says anyway. | tonynorstrom1
26/6/2021 09:47 | Jailbird There’s sometimes no rhyme or reason why a shareprice corrects. Meanwhile we’re all ‘pals’ piling in at these levels. 1.1m for me in the last few weeks (mainly ALGW profits). Not a brag, many have significantly more. | pretax2
