"Additional pressure measurements and samples are in the process of being taken and the data recovered will be analysed over the coming weeks to develop further appraisal and development options for the Serenity discovery." "The Company continues to evaluate and integrate into its regional model the results from the 13/23c-10 Serenity discovery well, which together with data from the 13/23c-9 and 13/23c-11 Liberator wells, has substantively de-risked i3's pre-drill, regional subsurface interpretation and helped to refine and improve its understanding of the hydrocarbon distribution in the sub-basin. Confirmation of an OWC at 5270 ft TVDSS supports i3's expectation of a substantial oil volume in Serenity (estimated at 197 MMbbls STOIIP). i3's modelling indicates a potential connection of Serenity to the Tain oil field, for which a field development plan is being prepared by the Tain operator" next stop

Begorrah. Sadly, your post is 100% accurate. Looks like this board only wants to hear positive things. Best of luck.

There's nothing to develop. They need to drill an appraisal or two at Serenity, and drill west liberator to see if there's any actual reservoir there and if it's got oil in it.Until then This is an exploration/appraisal company, without any money to drill the wells they need to drill, and with a credibility issue in predicting reservoir presence and depth.-always was..it was misleading to pretend they were anything else. You can only be a development company when you have proven the oil volumes are there, CPRs aren't worth the paper they're wiped on, you actually need to prove it with the drill bit.

Can anyone tell me how the Proactive interviews work - the link to the interview suggests it is free for PIs to view - do the companies pay for the interview or is there some other way that Proactive generates a revenue?

Key to unlocking value here was Lib East drills confirming oil, triggering SDF and moving to production. This is not going to happen, Lib East is too complex and sands too thin, it's risky.Lib West needs appraisal, as does Serenity. There is no guarantee they will be any easier to appraise. They now owe at least £22m and largely have to do this all again next year. Either another £22m say or a JV.A JV will be on difficult terms, say 70% giveaway for free carry.More dilution seems certain. Only hope here is the company sells itself, I'm afraid I don't see any value much above current price.

Thought interview was good both very calm when interrogated about share price more shocked to be fair. Personally think a deal will be announced next 2-3 months on serenity {farm in or possible partners } with further more drills could be huge. i3 will continue working with senior lenders on a Phase I Liberator development facility while it pursues potential partnerships to finance the wider 2020 appraisal of Serenity and Liberator. Added a few more today tucked away await further news. Shares in North Sea explorer i3 Energy sank today after the company said its plans to develop targets in the outer Moray Firth hinged on finding additional funding. The firm, headquartered in Westhill, near Aberdeen, recently completed a three-well drilling campaign on the Serenity and Liberator fields, estimated to hold 600 million barrels of oil. The London-listed company intends to carry out a multi-well appraisal campaign in summer 2020 to firm up that estimate. It hopes to develop the resources using existing infrastructure, but acknowledged today that its plans were “subject to the sourcing of additional funding”. The business will keep working with senior lenders on a “phase one” Liberator development facility while pursuing partners to help pay for the appraisal programme. Shares had dropped 41.43% to 10.25p as of 4pm today. The final well in i3 Energy’s 2019 campaign uncovered an oil column on Liberator that was “thin”, making it an unsuitable location for a development well. The firm will now focus on a “simplified221;, “low cost” Liberator phase one development, with a single well connected to existing infrastructure. Talks about producing i3 Energy’s resources via the Bleo Holm floating production vessel have been held with operator Repsol Sinopec Resources UK (RSRUK). Bleo Holm processes oil and gas from RSRUK’s Ross and Blake fields. It could also host oil from the RSRUK-operated Tain project. I3 Energy believes Tain and Serenity are connected and that a joint development of both assets could be beneficial. Majid Shafiq, chief executive of i3 Energy, said: “This year’s drilling campaign has been a major undertaking for a company of our size, and we’d like to thank those noteholders and equity investors who have funded our operations. “I3 will continue to progress its ongoing funding initiatives while exploring all options in order to maximise value for shareholders.”

Rre are on the acquisition trail they do have a war chest, there is a perfect synergy with the assets and Blake plus the fpso. A cheeky bid of 40p would be interesting, and even if they went hostile it's only another 20% premium or do they sit on their own hands for a year or so and then go hostile?

Would Rockrose maybe consider a bid for them? They’d certainly be able to afford it, and also easily afford to develop it... Thoughts? L.

I suppose what is really key is how much cash they have left, and how much more they will need to raise to fund their future drilling/appraisal activities, and on what terms... It seems pretty clear it was being shorted yesterday, and that there has probably been a mix of buying, and short closing today. But, if there’s any question over their financial ability to finance the development of these assets I could see shorters having another go over the next few days... L.
