I bet £1 is gone by close of play Wednesday as people will know that have been on the side lines that once funding confirmed, likely to be £2 plus.

I suspect you're right. Only the relentless selling from the instis has kept this down but now they're out it could easily fly.

No doubt there will be some profit taking along the way but with news due soon it would be mad to attempt to trade this.

I think £1 will break this week too.

saw89,

Agree, I would go further (I have a small position in JOG), this is further down the line than JOG at the asset level (interest and risk level) and I'm in no doubt they will secure a funding deal for Liberator and greater Liberator area.

showme01,

The share count is tiny, half of it held by directors, Miton and a few others. Add in shareholders from advfn lse and iii, probably 60-70% shares held. A real squeeze if there is any good demand for the remaining free float. We are heading very quickly towards development funding and 30th round Licensing awards. My thoughts? this is not the time to be out.

IMO the price action today is a result of hardly any shares and growing interest in the company. I think quite a few sold out or partially sold out think that City Financial were going to drag the share price back nearer 50p but the increased buying bounced the share price quicker than some expected.
Those people are probably trying to get back in, all be it at a higher share price. Trading a share with plenty of news and poor liquidity is very high risk for minimal gain in the grand scheme of things. The upside is so many multiples with a low risk drill at Liberator and P2 reserves.
The funding to unlock that revenue will propel this forward rapidly in terms of market cap.

Yes I suspect that today's price action means the funding negotiations are complete and the announcement will come soon, e.g. Tomoz.

The chance to buy on the last dip was taken up quite well. JC hopefully out now, resume the path towards the big development deal.

31/01/2018

"Pursuant to these discussions, the Company has received indicative commercial interest from a counterparty to provide 100% of the funding for a multi-well development on Liberator and the Company's 30th Round application block, amounting to estimated total capital commitments of approximately US$200 million.

JV discussions have reached a mature stage and, should these commercial arrangements conclude in an expected six to eight weeks timeframe, the Company would maintain a working interest of no less than 67% in its Liberator and 30th Round application blocks, after a multiple of the capital commitments have been refunded to the parties from post-production cash flow.

The Joint Venture discussions also contemplate capital being provided to i3 by an industrial party to enable the Liberator development to proceed utilising that party's funding alongside other credit facilities, even in circumstances where the Company is unsuccessful with its 30th Round application"
