The institutions that supported the 105 raise will be looking for some payback at the next one, assuming a jv is postponed to q1,19. The risk is, they place soon with Majid buying in at this point to "align with shareholders". Suddenly, the option strike price appears reasonable.
They cannot enter fresh negotiations which will take months running on fumes.

Cheesed off as I am with this options package, the asset is unchanged - just my % ownership of it is somewhat less than it was.The asset will be developed so I'm not selling.

Is there a change that the new CEO may run with I3E going solo ? Increase debt facility and go straight into production 2019 .

27M market cap does seem low for what's on offer here compared to other companies on AIM...
But when investors feel left in the dark or ripped off....
Getting the funding over the line should put the BODs back in the good books assuming its not for song.
………;..clocks ticking.

Buffy, great summary and one that I share wholeheartedly. Cash, spot on. We are where we are and I have no doubt that we will get this excellent asset funded. Just a shame personally it hasn't already happened as that would have allowed me to take some off the table at a far higher price and invest elsewhere.
Don't you just love the roller coaster of AIM. A less loved up Showme. lol

I agree with Buffy and Cash. It would be appreciated if they spent more effort in getting the financial deal and less lining their pockets.

If there is a silver lining it is that they must think that the share price will rise from its current low. Why else issue the options now?

Buffy,Couldn't have put it better myself. There was me thinking for once we have a different calibre of management team for AIM.Alas..easy rewards are the name of the game with AIM BoDs, why should it be any different for these folk. I should really have a word with myself because, for all his ills, NC was the architect behind this vehicle that offers the opportunity on hand. Ready for a drawn-out process. The quality of the assets will, eventually, win the day for all.Cash

Buffy. If I didn’t trust the management , I would of sold the lot.

HAF,Those are all wonderfully made points when completely isolated from events and actual statements from management. They led shareholders into this situation, by their words and actions and have benefited from it. It was not even long ago NC was telling folk at the presentation the deal was going to complete in Q4. It may yet do, but I doubt it very much now. Having said that, I've started reducing exposure, and am prepared for a drawn-out process lasting deep into next year. Cash

I was encouraged that the selling on Friday afternoon was absorbed by the market.Whenever I have seen this happen, the stock is marked up and absorbed shares sold by MMs higher up.Showme- appreciate your honesty.

I’m not pumping anything, just explaining my reasoning. I’m certainly not slating i3e, just not happy with the strike price.

Agreed.I think we're near the current low.I reckon news of the A&D broker will land soon and, as mentioned on Twitter, a possible increase to the debt facility to aid farmin negotiations or even provide for a standalone development well, ie, back to the original plan.

Roundup. That is just they point, they have not bought. They have a heads they win, tails they don't lose option package. I would have no issue if they bought their shares in the open market.
I sold some of mine after chewing over the situation after the JV stalled, and it was not to do with the investment case here, simply I planned in the event the JV went thorough to top slice and invest in EME.
I sold a few more yesterday and bought more in EME in part as a bit of a protest but I should be able to get some decent gains in EME in the short term and buy back all i3e hopefully post funding.

63.5p is now the base price, if they’re looking to profit from that level so should we

Showme, I would never criticise someone for selling stock, but management have taken advantage of the drop in price and grabbed a bargain with their options. I don't see why we should sell at the price management are glad to buy at.

Aye, a very complicated deal. They need an offtake agreement with a boat anchored next to the licence & somebody to fund a couple of wells & some plumbing....

Showme, I understand where you are coming from, I can see both sides of the situation here, shareholders and management. The deal is complicated, not as simple as we think, management entered the exclusive period in good faith.Other JV partners will catch up very quickly with the JV party, then the heat will very much be on them.I am holding more here, having sold elsewhere and seen those other stocks I owned go up 30% and this down 50% so I am suffering. However, I know this is a 1 bagger on funding, maybe 2. Despite my disappointment, I don't see anywhere with so much short term upside.Check your mail.
