Don't talk nonsense ngms27..there is a continuation vote not a liquidation vote or change in manager ,something i have pointed out to you before so any roll down in investments would most likely be over 12 months or so, we'll have to see what is proposed. Stick to facts for a bloody change.

I also hope the original Bod are brought to account as they did materially more damage to equity and were the root cause.

Taxation position not mentioned before but the company does carry large losses, a North Sea producer might well be able to take advantage of these losses to offset the now hugely profitable production with Brent strength. Not sure of the technicalities but if there has been continuity in the business and an acquirer is in the same business the losses can likely be used to offset profits?Could this be Hurricanes biggest asset!?

NGR1616 has been writing good sense on LSE today. He's a genuine industry expert as was DSPP on TLF, who also sold early, though not as early as me.

Sad to see the 'scam' rhetoric that investors follow is still alive. The hope they now rely on depends on the ever more ridiculous-looking conspiracy concerning how the resigned board members somehow cooked the last CPR and that recent RNS announcements are faked. Some even seem to think they're better analysts than The Investors Chronicle, who laid it all out in the open last week with a 'sell' recommendation.

I see no investment either case though I doubt my view will make anyone change their minds.

What I am sure of is that should there be a sudden announcement that the well is no longer viable there will be a lot of blame-shifting.

Game on.Oil Prices Could Explode As U.S.' Largest Storage Hub Nears Empty.Back in April 2020, the landlocked West Texas Intermediate crude oil price briefly crashed into negative territory - a stunning turn of events that cost traders massive losses - when the spot oil market found itself with an unprecedented glut as there was literally too much oil to be stored, and as such those traders who were assigned delivery would pay others just to take the physical oil off their hands. Well, in just a few weeks we may see the opposite scenario: no physical oil at all in the largest US commercial storage facility, leading to what may be a superspike in the price of oil.

Maybe dragging heels is best strategy now.
