Obmuj, in fairness to hiddendepths he didn't propose that the fields were about to be proven overnight.

He said, 'If these wells flow as they should, it probably means that the whole play works'. He puts no time limits on his assertion and is only stating the obvious. Isn't the purpose of the EPS to prove that very point?

I so agree with your post.
Perfectly sums it up although most here who have been around a while probably are very well aware.
For my part, having been bitten too many times by many AIM oilers (mainly African based) I really must try and practice what I preach to my fellow family and friend investors:
"Take the cream."
As you say; this needs to flow after months and months, if not a year or more.
i.e. if I can double my money (in at various buys at about 40-50p)then I am selling up half at say £1. Simply so I can relax and for once say to myself: "I haven't lost anything".
I just cannot bear the thought of a RNS stating: Flow stopped or not as we expected.
Ok, I just hope this does do what we are all praying for. Knowing my luck, I will sell 50% for reasons given and it will soar to £5 but hey, profit is a profit and I will just have to scale down my dreams of the million dollar yacht and get the 1/2 million one.
Anyway that is my strategy and I "must" stick to it.....for once.

5.5 year invert Head&Shoulders chart pattern on the daily chart,confirmed when close above 61.27,target share price £4.40.If these patterns always worked ,I would be a multi millionaire, as T/A is an art not a science

Might not be directly linked to the 3 day steady oil test as like last time I'd have expected news of the re-lit flare to circulate.

However today we know we have:
-coverage/target of 100p issued
-large scale M&A NS activity
-POO/general market recovery from yesterdays drop
-& possibly just day counters taking a position for the 3 day test results (hopefully next week)
