Maybe this is the best positive time for the oil collapse as it doesn't matter to Hur at present. Undoubtedly OPEC will adjust their supply and by the time we are flowing oil the market will be sorted hopefully. The share price isn't really going to mean to much into we have had a good two or three months of constant production figures then it really will open up.

Guardian:

I agree, but fear not. There will be disruption to oil supplies soon enough. There always is.

Enjoy the wet weekend.

Sorry Telbap but you're going to have to explain your rationale for that incredibly pessimistic prediction. By Q3 will have already easily achieved first oil and probably have around 4-5 months production data and income (unless there is a monumental f@ck up or a 6 month storm WOS), we'll also have drilled 2 exploratory wells by then. People need to broaden their horizons and not view HURs share price in isolation, GKP is down more than HUR today for starters and the rest of the sector for the most part has taken a hammering since early October.

The hedge funds should trim back once growth starts in the Spring.

TG It only takes one day of reasonable weather to hook up , so we might be lucky,i'm feeling very confident and positive because we have a top class team managing HUR who have not put a foot wrong,to the contrary have over performed .

Hurricane is currently trapped in a the “Surreal world of the Hedgefunds” who go long, short, arbitrage buy and sell the convertibles and generally have little interest in Hurricanes oil assets.

First oil will see Hurricane start to recover control of its own share price destiny as the “Hedgies”; move on to another victim they can suck dry. The drilling recommencement will complete the process.

All very WW1 appropriate as there used to be a massive trade in war surplus canned bully beef much of which was rotten and or inedible but that didn’t stop the “Hedgies”; of the day gambling on it.

All the way to the biggest oil find in the north sea for a very long time.

Gary, unfortunately the weather is the very big unknown and could delay the hook up well into the first half of next year. Best that it is an unknown because once AM gets to Lerwick, I would like to see all of the shorts disappear for a start. I doubt that the hedge funds have people sitting watching every shipping movement like we do.

The other point to bear in mind, which was discusesd on LSE a week or two ago, is the danger of monitoring tanker movements around AM once it is hooked up and inferring production by monitoring the frequency of visits. We know that production will start low and that the flow from each well will be stopped and started to test pressure recovery etc. That could go on for weeks or months and so the need to offtake oil from AM could be very sporadic. It would be unwise for anyone on the bulletin boards to assume that they can calculate average production flow. That will have to come from an RNS.

Just in 3 weeks time AM will be sitting over the wells in the WoS ,possibly hooked up ,weather permitting and commencing of commissioning.Than the start of the end game which is FOIL and HUR becoming profitable with no debt. You will hear people say why didnt l get in at these very, very low prices at this unbelievable point where the Oil is so close to flowing,Madness springs to mind.

Tell I also agree , but surely An Independent Oil Producer , with no debt , short term future funded drilling campaign , fully paid for nigh on in situ FPSO within a whisker Of producing XK bopd must be worth more , look at SXX , yes far greater income generation when producing but a few years timeframe to producing and still stumbling blocks of funding and the rigmarole Of tunnelling 22mikes And then complete mechanical , electrical fit and receiving end

Tournesol, yes agree ,we’ve had significant funding in fires times for the Oil Industry , we’ve appraised biblical volumes of oil , we’ve navigated a ship to Dubai,,extensive work / in time and like to think budget , significant Subsea work WoS , great press , even though the science behind it has worked elsewhere for years with proven dat to confirm it , that must be the reason behind our derisory shareprice.
Yes we are not producing and at just shy of £1,000,000,000 that’s a lot even considering that FOIL is within a season , 1Q .
I’d say that the eyes of lots will be upon us , scrutising our every operation , every cargo , every Quarterly .

Clever more experienced and powerful people than anyone here have invested massively which only increase my own confidence.
For me the greatest obstacle to overcome hopefully will be the reluctance to sell early at a derisory £1/£1.50 mark

Faraway.......come on you know the difference don't play silly games:-)Once in station and hooked up what further risk is there? Possible technical issues with wax or over /under/pressure, all fixable, just a little time. We won't know in any case as they won't. Report until its working as it should be.Mid December will see a lift from here then a further lift once the oil price returns to $80+ bbl.Short term pain, long term gain.

Quite so bocase. Oil is now in a bear market and Hurricane reflects it. We have had the longest daily fall ever. A lot depends on an OPEC cut in supply.

You mean just as it did when leaving Dubai ?

The problem gas been the 20% drop in the oil price. Just a temporary respite I am sure but certainly a headwind for the HUR share price.
