it doesn't really matter, you get 1923.0769 shares per $1000 nominal bond. This ratio was a function of $1000 / 52cents (the conversion price)

you convert a bond today (irrespective of what you paid for it) you will get 1923.0769 shares which are worth £761.15, or at 1.4 $/£, $1065.61 (it's intrinsic value)

The bonds are trading at a premium (c. 129)to the intrinsic value because they're paying a 7.5% coupon (per 1000 nom)

40p was the conversion price..... although since it may have actually been 52cts at the time, that would now make it 37.1p at todays Fx.

I can't recall if the CP was fixed in GBP or USD.... can anyone recall?

I am with oilretire on this one. It was always the plan to sell up. Look to his early comments. For me it was clear.....find it, prove it, sell it. We could say we have moved a further step along the line with the FSPO, harva, really it's part of the plan, who is going to buy the type of play for good value, without seeing the money? I believe we will see value from this, and maybe sooner than we think.Once the.kit is on site and the oil starts flowing then hold onto your hats.

Well done DrT and Team on the Great appointment of the experience of Mr Steven McTiernan .This is his comment below .Mr Steven McTiernan commented:"I am most enthusiastic to be joining Hurricane, one of the UK E&P sector's most exciting junior companies, at an early stage in the development and appraisal of its unique and play-opening assets. The potential scale and productivity of Hurricane's opportunity is highly significant. I believe that my diverse technical, financing and transaction experiences can be valuable in helping shape the future progress of the Company. I am also reassured to see the steps already taken by Dr David Jenkins and the Board to put in place corporate governance standards appropriate for a more mature company, and I look forward to steering further steps in this process as the Board considers the merits of application for a premium listing."

Bags of experience and appointed to draft us to premium listing where someone with M/A experience can sift the wheat from the chaff if others come knocking and ensure the right value is sought.. because there will be offers...

Why the surprise at that comment?? We all know that's the plan, prove up the EPS on our own then get a realistically valued deal of some sort to move to the FDP.....

'particularly his significant M&A experience, is well suited to guiding the Company in its next steps beyond the commencement of the EPS'.....

Yes A30, I also noticed this.

Why would Trice make a specific and direct reference to this particular aspect of his career? Is it relevant? Is Trice inferring or suggesting corporate activity?

anley, absolutely. I won't hear of any bad word said about Kerogen, Crystal Amber or Dr Trice. They were there when no-one else could give a toss.

Arcadian, to be fair, Kerogen only turned up in April 2016 but they were key to ensuring that HUR didn't run out of cash at the depths of the bear market and no-one else would dip a toe into Dr Trice's pool.

EX

Thanks for the response. Kero have been there all along and the others contain a fair amount of retail so maybe the IC stance is fair and we shall just have to await first oil.

I really hope it is Aidan! He owes me one from the old days as I got behind him when all Tullow had was a tiny play in Senegal. Brought him his first institutional investors of substance! We used to meet in pubs and he'd excitedly sketch the seismic on paper napkins for me. I wonder if he remembers - a lot has happened to him since those early days.
