Yes, there's a different timeframe implied between 'release value' and 'realise value', IMHO.

CA need a quick shareprice change (implied by a spike on farm-in news or similar) rather than a slow grind upwards (implied by proximity FOIL etc) because they have to sell down as the price rises.

From the CA report:
The Fund has engaged with Hurricane’s Board to improve the company’s governance and to release value.

So their interests are not aligned with mine. These are just in to strip out any value as quickly as possible. I am in for the long haul.

On the Malcy front, a good source of info but always worth being aware that he needs to make a living so potential for a more positive slant to be provided. With that in mind I respect the fella for his industry / sector knowledge and read his blog regularly.

In market cap terms we are not too far from our highest. This is now derisked further but still not without significant hurdles - all of which are not new to the industry. Still a risk share as all oil explorers are but these prices at present and chance for . those looking at HUR to invest for the longer term.Don't expect fireworks for an few months yet.

There’s a post on LSE Site a link from www.Offshore-mag.com , canny fathom it out myself however it makes good reading if you use this sites Search Facility and use searches such as “West Of Shetland “ , “ Hurricane Energy “ , But the latter being old known news .

The Shetland Area seems to have a horrific amount of investment and ongoing and planned work by a significant amount of oil firms both large and small .

There aren't many things that would persuade me to sell HUR atm, but any suggestion of Kevin Hart's involvement with the co would be one of them....
