Yes once the AZ gets to the yard and work starts we are counting down to first oil. If we get a fair wind there is a chance the AZ could be WOS at Lancaster ready for a tie up in September/October of 2018, failing that it is most likely we will have to wait till March 2019.

So the clock is starting at 12 months or 18 months based on how much progress is made?

This countdown revaluation will start in earnest at the 11 months point! After which we should be steadily revalued upwards.

...efficiency improvements that are squeezing more oil out of the ground and a flurry of recent deals indicate that there is still hope for the industry, even with oil near $50 a barrel..... A string of new fields commissioned during the boom years until 2014 are coming on stream.

New money is also flowing in. ...

Siccar Point, another firm backed by American private-equity money, is promising to explore and produce oil from the North Sea assets it recently acquired. Hurricane Energy, a small exploration company, claims to have made a surprisingly big discovery west of the Shetland islands, where Shell and BP are also increasing their production......

Maybe, this time next year, journalists will be able to omit the 'claims' bit...

Chutes you are a shorter, which is your choice and I hope you do well but please don't look to add input to the bullish case.

It's doesn't ring true and frankly undermines your own credibility. Just be happy you called it right from the 32p placing price. Where Hurricane goes from now till first oil is a very different journey from the last few months.

With the company now talking again adding 25-30% to the share price is highly possible, especially if the price of oil plays ball.

The issue is how quickly people (investors or oil cos) will be prepared to start giving value to the EPS, and the implications of a positive result to it.It's too simplistic to assume that nothing will move until the EPS has proved itself (or not). As commissioning approaches the pressure on individuals and companies to get in early, accepting some risk in exchange for a low entry price, increases. In practice that means the price is likely to rise well above 40p before commissioning - either as a result of share purchases and/or corporate action. However, trying to predict the timescale beyond that is probably a waste of time. Though the notification of significant landmarks towards EPS commissioning may help concentrate minds!Peter

Interesting that the boys have come out to talk. In the past that was a bullish signal so I expect the same again.

Question is how long till we get to 40p?

I am inclined now to think that many will look back and release that they have 'Looked a Gift Horse in the Mouth '.
And the hardest part of this investment is patience and self mettle meaning how long they dare hold before selling

back on the 19th May.. AS said. short step from here to cash out , he has said we are up for sale , it will be no surprise when news lands here
