Terrible results but recent buyers looking for a much brighter future it seems? Bound to bounce back as the oil price recovers but surely outlook is still not so rosy.

Worth reading Schlumberger & Baker Hughes updates in last 10 days, general concensus is that N.America and partic. the Permian Basin will be driving growth over next 6-12 mths, HTG very well positioned to benefit as a result imo.

Sold my holding earlier in the week but more a reflection of being overweight oil/ nervousness about Opec meeting next week/taking a decent profit in uncertain macro climate than any company specific issues. Think the placing will be a real positive for the Co easing any short term funding concerns & suspect I'll be back in before the end of the year on some (hopeful) market weakness.

"Yesterday afternoon Hunting (HTG) released a particularly negative trading update further to its downbeat trading statement earlier in April, which painted an uncertain outlook for the company. In this update HTG confirmed that weak performance in Q1 has continued throughout April and May, which does not come as a surprise. Indeed its share price fell 12% yesterday..."

Looks like April is a good month for a lot of oil stocks. Hopefully the momentum continues till at least to the end of the year!

ALL of my SIPP money was in this but with end of tax year looming I needed to do the 'sensible' thing which was sell before results.

Hopefully better times ahead for HTG plc.
