Despite a stronger than expected US Employment number today, the y/y hourly wage rate increased by only 4.5%. Together with other indicators signalling weakness in the real economy (ISM Services Index and Factory Orders), the Dollar Index has reversed from a 0.5% increase to a 0.5% decline.

Now all we need is a good US CPI number next week to keep gold's momentum going.

#PH it is a fair point that we have not had a further downgrade in early December as per last year, so I am optimistic for at least the minimum to get into the range 24,612 - 34,000 for Q4..

The poor performance in Q3 and the delay in getting back into KE has resulted in the year end 2022 production guidance range being conservatively lowered to between 77,000 - 87,000 oz

Don't looking at market cap alone, it is meaningless when a company has such a large debt component. Look at the company Enterprise value (EV), which includes debt/cash. HUM has an EV well in excess of $120 M. Until HUM start to generate cash again the share price will fall at constant EV, as debt rises. That has been the case for the last 18 months or so. I am hoping that this will be the first Q where HUM is cash generative and so the share price will rise, as total debt load falls. There is also continuing uncertainty around producing assets and the build at Kouroussa, which will resolve in the next 2-3 Qs. Those both lead to discounts on a rating you might attribute to a debt free, well-run company. Once there is clarity then we will see a re-rate accordingly. There have been too many false dawns for anyone to preempt positive news. The volume today does make a nice change, as does the positive end to the day.

Don't forget the enterprise value here. Debt will be eye watering but if they can get 2 mines running with over 200k produced and gold over $2k the share price will be multiples of the current price as debt melts away. Looks like a few have started taking positions

For a market cap of £29m you get a lot of gold with HUM I am very surprised that there has not been a take over attempt before now ok its Africa ,but with an experienced mining team on the ground it could be a very good gold mining operation.

I'll go 23.5 kTBH, anything that is cash positive would be a start! This boat will take a while to turn around. If it shows promising signs on next update then I believe there will be time to add

I will go for 24612 oz.

If they don't make guidance, they should have RNSed it pre year end.

I can't see us going above 30k ozs as they are now processing fresh rock: there may still be some oxide for blending, but it won't be the high grade which produced those really good quarters.

Fingers crossed for 26,000 plus and no one will be happier than me if I have grossly underestimated Q4!

I’ll go for >20k “due to circumstances outside of management control”

…and the skimming of high grade gold

The “new” two bob contractor is just a vehicle to move money to Stephen Betts and sons. Accounts are due this month at companies house, should be an interesting read.

When the Q4 RNS lands I expect a huge drop in price here.
