The grades at Kouroussa look very impressive - the sort of grades that have driven Greatland Gold to a market cap of £720m, even though theirs are much deeper and Newcrest will own 70% of it.

Kouroussa was closed down in 2016 for 'technical reasons' - does anyone know what they were? The gold price had hit a long term low of $1050, which might have been a major factor.

It matters not Chip - good grades and shallow as you say. But a nice space bar tidy up will occupy you on a Friday afternoon

Sorry about the spacing of above post. It's a perennial problem (for me) with HTML.
Will see if I can edit it a bit.

I am impressed by some of the drill data from Kouroussa.

When you see relatively shallow intercepts at high grades and good widths it is usually very good news and the exploration highlights from that project look exceptionally good!

Interval/widths x grades that are over 100 gramme metres are always exciting and Kouroussa appears to already have plenty of those.

Note:
1. all the intercepts start from easily open-pittable levels.
2. most of the gramme-metre multiples are above 100
3. the grades are phenomenal
4. early-stage mining should be VERY straightforward

Clearly it is early days and much additional drilling and other work will be required for PFS/DFS etc., but this project does look quite exceptional so far.

It's no good berating wassaper. You have to be a blue poster in order to moderate/ban a non-blue poster.

new buyer - I have had him filtered for well over a year I guess. It is not a premium BB. I don't know how to block him from posting even if that is possible.

More importantly, I don't believe in censoring - this is a public space and I am not God. You can just filter him.

I never look at that thread now. Just this one.

#Bionic, yes, as I see it the re-rating is done there for now until they can demonstrate a near term growth strategy adding revenues, a fantastic share for those who were into the journey early enough in 2014/15/16 who have aced it and getting their investment back every year in dividends, really well done, but the fact is the share price has gone sideways for a year now, and time waits for no one..

But for a CG and mirroring the same journey grinding through debt, getting into cash positive and a maiden dividend this is the next share IMO, and why I am invested, the best is yet to come in Q3, Q4 and Q1-2021 as all the milestones get ticked off, dividends could depend on funding Kouroussa but we could do both at 2000 POG, and even a token dividend sets the trend with Kouroussa, Dugbe, Bunker Hill all yet to add value.. :o)

LLB and it was 140 a year ago nearly, which is why I am here and PAF and not AAZ as stagnation doesn't increase your wealth. If divi is your thing then AA is the place to be or Renewable energy bonds at 12% even better. If I happen to be invested in a stock when the divi is due, then I treat that as a bonus, but I never invest purely for the divi as it is better to put your money elsewhere if all you want is a good interest rate. An energy bond will do in 5 year what AAZ will take 10 over. I have always been taught, (wrongly or rightly) that the stockmarket is there for capital gain and not for interest, but each to his own. My 50% p.a. is a sight better than some that sit pat for 5% and see there investment decline rather than appreciate.

"The 15-nation Economic Commission of West African States, or ECOWAS, has set a 12-month limit for new elections and a September 15th deadline for the appointment of an interim president and prime minister."

Will be interesting to see if this happens.

casual,

As you well know, I am-for me-a substantial investor in HUM and have stated many times that I am in it for the longer term. I post anything I find that relates to HUM or its business interests. I will continue to do so.

As far as I'm aware you are not the arbiter of what can and can't be posted here. If you don't like my input you have a facility to stop seeing it.

Temujiin he’s been talking to himself for months now and anyone looking for info on the company is just as likely to see his conspiratorial posts, just interested to know why wassapper is happy to let him post over a thousand negative posts.

#Temujiin, I keep banging the drum about the impact of these key milestones, (1) net cash positive, (2) debt free, and (3) a maiden dividend, these 3 events will start the re-rating proper not just a penny here and there..

As an example of what can happen look at AAZ from Sept 2018 when they announced their maiden dividend.. 40p to 140p today..

When we are net cash positive or debt free around year end and spinning off USD1M a week after tax profits, the share price will not be around here for much longer..

With 4 projects all gathering momentum, Yanfolila, Kouroussa, Dugbe, Bunker Hill

Pay attention ohhrogerpalmer bt explained quite clearly about the lack of liquidity in the US OTC market to me which is why I now have sympathy and understand...

I can confirm he is right it is dead dodgy I remember now a few years back I was asked to find a broker with someone who had a holding it was dificult enough to find a market maker who would deal as a lot of it is matched bargains only from memory.

Quite a few UK companies have been conned into a quote if it was on TSX the share would be double although the little turbulance in Mali may have sorted that out.

I really can not understand why the house brokers do not sort some liquidity out.

Cheers for the kind words BT

wassapper serious question for you as the moderator on the other thread, the one you yourself now avoid (probably due to me and borderterrier).

Are you happy for an obvious deramper to post thousands of obviously negative and some conspiratorial posts on a message board for a company that you own shares in?

I'm all for freedom of speech but what is spouted over there is not freedom of speech. Feel free to block me from that thread.

Just reporting the facts. FWIW, I agree with you that, with thousands of professional soldiers on the ground this time around, the situation is completely different to back in 2012.
