31/10/2017 13:45 | Good afternnoon all, i dont usually post on here as i tend to use LSE mainly. Below is a link to a report that i compiled from a recent visit to HUM HQ to meet Dan Betts & Bert Monro, 2 colleagues and myself had a good hour or so with them. The report covers the basics and more recent info with some finer detail thrown in. | fsjamescampbell

31/10/2017 09:32 | Or you could regard it as a tax free "dividend" boosting the eps and thus the ultimate value of the company? | capt bligh
30/10/2017 18:03 | UKG - share buybacks can be viewed in 2 ways: 1) the company uses itself as a store for cash if needed in the future or 2) using the company to soak up excess cash for the sake of it and in complete disregard of direct reward to shareholders and any future funding needs. The choice of 1 or 2 depends on how you think the company will perform. I believe there will be enough to issue a reasonable dividend, the rest being divvied up between admin, maintenance, capital items, further exploration and mine development, with some going to share buy backs. Not too much though I hope! | charles clore

30/10/2017 08:54 | Share buy backs are almost always a poor use of shareholder funds. Let's worry about getting into commercial production first. | ukgeorge
30/10/2017 08:13 | Presumably, Mirabeau, you consider a cash dividend as being an equally poor use of shareholder funds. | divmad
30/10/2017 08:00 | Mirabeau. If you disagree then sell your holding (if u have one). We have a strong management team and measures such as those announced are often part of a very clever strategy. The is not a superficial move, think more deeply. | wwick
30/10/2017 07:50 | Management announcing their intentions in advance. A gold company, producing revenues, generating profits and paying dividends. Share buy-backs? I consider them a poor use of shareholder funds | mirabeau
