a huge deal of more than 1 million shares traded at 168.25p an hour ago.

Looks like Woodford selling more.

Should be some kind of RNS in the next 24 hours. Hopefully ValueAct or new American institutions picking up the stake.

Finally think this could be primed for an assault on 200p over the next few weeks.

Cowen, the Company sponsoring the conference, appear to be the sort of outfit that can some serious support for investments they like the look of.

It is over to Terry Pizzie to promote HZD as best as he can.

All that diversity in the Crispr enzymes, i wonder what it means for whether they are patentable? Is a new enzyme with a novel DNA sequence falling outside existing patents?

Thanks for this JK. In my view Inscripta and Precision look like competitors for HZD. I didnt investigate the others but from the names i figure they are focused on making their own therapeutics, which isn't HZD's area (notwithstanding Avviiinity or whatever it's called)

Hope that ValueAct lives up to its name now that it has firmly established itself as HZD's biggest shareholder, with 18.3%, replacing Woodford which has more than halved its stake to 10.3% over the last few months. According to ValueAct's website its goal is to 'leave a company in a better position than when we first invested in it'. It normally holds positions for 3-5 years and occasionally for 10 years or more. It is the biggest shareholder in Rolls Royce (10.68%) and second biggest shareholder in Merlin Entertainment (5.25%). The investment in HZD is pretty small beer compared with ValueAct's commitment to these two companies but the fact that it has appointed one of its executives to HZD's board suggests that it is taking a long-term view of HZD's prospects.

Investors with Woodford are relying on the reputation that he obtained at Invesco.
Unfortunately those days are long gone.

A quick look at the ValueAct website will offer far more confidence that they are the ones who know the potential here.

The market seems to agree too today !!

ValueAct have indeed upped their stake to 18.3%

As pointed out in post no.1068 HZD looks extremely cheap compared to US peers.

Once the market realises then the shares should start to motor.

Yup.

Woodford has offloaded a further chunk.

It will be interesting to see if ValueAct have upped their stake.

Hopefully, once this overhang of stock has been cleared, the price should head north.

If you make a comparison with US CRISPR listed companies - there are 5 major unlisted ones also - they are giving this stock away. It will either list in the US and be hugely re-rated - or it will be bought. Value Act are not mugs. Nor am I.

looks like all time lows are coming... this knife is falling faster and faster.. might look to buy at 50p...

Possibly Woodford pruning down again. Who knows.
However I have topped up big time between 157 and 160.
Tremendous potential at these levels.
