This cold snap, forecasted to last for several weeks, has got to be good for HSV and the oilies.

Bought a few today as a long term buy. Bit of a gamble in the short-term as the FSA investigation will be the driver. Still lots of potential when this is sorted though.

hmm dunno now. CEO Catches a helicopter to work everyday and sold £66 million of his stock at the high and now the company is mired in scandal and is still awaiting the judgement of the FSA. I worked in helicopters and know the AS355 good machine but pricy to run. That is £500k per annum just to get to and from work - seems profligate. At the end of all this this company is still set to become a smaller company in the UK no question. Prudent? cautious? candid? Conservative? honest? And if a "no" to most of those then - Investable? not sure now.. willing to be told otherwise.

WBN - all L2 bid/offers showing are in 25k lots at 1p v 1.5p. Total is 4 x MM's, each only 25k. For 100k the best quote to buy is the full ask of 1.5p but can get 1.15p to sell, with ease, so stock is being wanted. Since as recently as Oct 1st, Woburn have steadily ticked up to 1.25p mid, from 0.85p mid 1st Oct and got a mention in the D.Tel Mkt Report a couple of days back. Buyers paid up to 1.4p on the 3rd Oct and 1.5p must be showing as being paid very soon. There's modest daily buying now so the flat days maybe now behind us? Just that smidge of hot news to send these for at least a bag.....and a lot more as well. Total shrs here 232.16m but free float only 13.85% = 32.15m shrs @1.5p to buy = £485k for the lot. Why wait to pay more later? f

kristini - not sure what cover you've got but we don't normally insure household appliances we have general emergency cover thru our house insurance, outsourced to Homeserve, c£50 a year, & been A1 & efficient to date on 2x elec & 1x boiler probs, would've cost a bomb otherwise usually a small local company that actually comes out

could be that hsv are having service standard problems again, been on the tel all day trying to get through to get a service engineer out could be the reason for the sharp fall?

I guess the fsa have packed up there bags and left hvs to carry on their business, lol no chance, more bad news to come out here with past business review ongoing, every chance of a profits warning and large fine trying to work out when the next announcement (Rns) may be , last year a sept 30th int manegment statement in advance of interims in Nov

could be time to short these again in advance of update, profit warning very possible they have played down the fsa misselling problems all along and this still has to play out, past business review ongoing and outcome unknown

I note there will be a trading update so perhaps rumours playing on that fear: We will, as usual, provide a trading update on our performance in the first six months of our financial year before we enter the close period at the end of September 2012. Given the impact on revenues of delay in selling/marketing activities will be in the traditionally weaker H1 results, one could assume they are not going to make pretty reading - but question is has market factored in the correct impact or will it be worse...

I'm sure the drop triggered alot of stops, perhaps the rumours aim has been achieved. Dodgy shinannigans that should be investigated but never will be.
