Any decision not to award Inmalacuda an extension would sent shock waves through the Peruvian mining industry. The country would become uninvestible and the currency may weaken appreciably. Look at the u turn in Chile on its mining industry post the election.

I believe HOC will be awarded the extension and we hit £1 on the announcement

13% is quite a pull back. Geographic developments perhaps? Not been following this one recently, but I thought the situation in Peru was deteriorating? Could be a good buying opportunity I guess, but I have enough high blood pressure inducing stocks in my p/f already, so am not looking to get back in just now. Good luck to holders though - I hope you make loads here.

Money inflation never goes away unless the money creation is reversed, which never happens. QT for instance does not reduce the inflation it just moves assets off the balance sheet of the Federal Reserve Bank (the "Fed"). Temporary reductions in money supply do not alter or reverse the long-term money creation process. The best we can hope for is that money creation would slow after periods of excessive indulgence.
