22/2/2018 12:24 | I love the idea that all these people driving around in electric, battery-driven vehicles thinking that they are greener than green, have not got a clue. How much digging and processing around the world will need to be done to satisfy demand and how many factories will be built to make the vehicles and the charging points? And what happens when they discover a fatal problem that no one has anticipated? The government took advice about diesel engines from the best brains in Britain and then they decided to make diesel taxation more attractive than petrol to encourage people to buy. I'm glad Hoc has taken a position in cobalt because it must be worth a lot more now than they paid for it! Lol | davidspringbank | |

22/2/2018 09:34 | DOW moved from 300+ to -167 in the last 2 hours of trading last night. Volatility still evident and seemed to coincide with US10YR TSY reaching new 5 year high. Problem seems to be the US$ is picking up a bid on this when previously suffered. However long term int rates are a signal people do not think the US can repay it's debts and that's not a positive for the $. Let's see how today and the next week goes, the DOW could be in for another whacking if the US10YR TSY rates touches or exceeds 3% and hopefully reality will set in with the US$ too.
