giardap - not too sure what's happening but the email I posted above gave me a certain amount of confidence that all will be well, and I hope it wasn't misplaced! If nothing happens by the end of the month I may send them another email for an update. Don't like to hear that their customers are de-stocking, let's hope it's just a cold weather thing and that stocks will increase soon for the Christmas period. MrP

My local independent grocer told me yesterday he has only just started stocking Hill Station because he was offered it at a ridiculously low price!!!

Nothing sensitive here, so can't see any problem in posting the reply I have received:-

Thank you for your email. The Hill Station brand website (www.hillstation.co.uk ) is running normally. We have established skeleton websites for the Loseley brand (www.loseleyicecream.com ) and for the holding company (www.hillstationplc.co.uk ) and have plans for expanding those as a part of our broader marketing strategy. Over the past few months, however, we have focused our resources on the operational integration of the three businesses we put together last November. We are now in the final stages of closing the last of the three redundant factories, and when that process is complete we will be in a position to press ahead more forcefully on the marketing front.

We will be making a further statement very shortly.

In the meantime, thank you for your support.

Yours sincerely,

Charles J Hall

Group Managing Director

For what it's worth, I have sent an email to the company asking when their website will be up and running again as I don't think this looks good at a time when the shares are suspended. I have also asked when they are likely to make the next announcement. MrP

not sure what to make of the news.
probably inevitable that the opertions man had to go given that as the ex factory manager of the cwnbran plant he should have ben able to anticipate all the problems that they have had and it is good that they have somone lined up.

as regards the suspension my first thought was of foreboding but then I reflected that really they should have suspended the shares(IMJ) this time last year when they were doing the big fundraising then...certainly they came on pretty strong that they had the financing lined up.
Interesting to see in both notices that Mr Hall has been named as the contact..I was begining to wonder how involved he was.

Not the most welcome announcement this morning, let's hope we get something positive from one of the lenders.

Great pity, they seem to have gone down the road of growth , without realising all the implications, it's certainly very high risk, and any further funding will be very destructive to present holders!

stevieweebie - thanks for that, but the rns was 10 days ago so I would have thought that was already priced in. Until such a time as they succeed in finding a bank to support their fundraising, I would have expected maybe a gradual drift down but not such a sudden drop. Been watching for some time and bought a few on the drop this afternoon so let's see what happens!

Lots of reasons but mainly failure to fund expansion.

A worrying announcement today.
Biggest concern is that IMJ the wording is very convoluted and lacks credibility.
Not clear if they have got financing yet for the 8th production line and ammonia refrigeration and the Gram extrusion line.
Not clear what if anything the £1m was spent on.
Really spooky is that the operations director is the man who used to be the ops director at Cwmbran when it was in Loseley's hands so why does the fact the Loseley machinery not up to scratch such a surprise.
The company has 347m shares outstanding..to get another £1m they will have to issues post expenses probably at 2p a share ie another 50m shares.

All I can say is that I do not begrudge the warrants that were awarded to the chairman..if the shares get up to 8p he will deserve everything he will get and one wonders what is happening to Charles Hall
I am glad that I did not top up over the last months.

You could well be right Cerrito. Personally I wouldn't touch this one until they have demonstrated that the business is capable of making a decent profit.

That was my initital reaction
In theorey you are correct about the warrants but most peole will be so releived if the midprice is 8p+for 20 consecutive business days that they will not bedgrudge him it.
This would mean that the people who subscribed shares a couple of weeks ago more than douible their money, and those that went in last year will do even better.

I was thinking about opping up this morning but I got distracted and missed the bus.

I suspect the reason for the drop is that they have just issued a raft of warrants to Totte which represents 2.1% of the share capital
