It always seems when you have a choice of which share to add to you choose the wrong one, was a choice of adding to pvr or hnr this week lol!!One is a solid producer progressing on 3 projects with a solid news pipeline to come and the other jumped 38% on nothing - don't you just love this game

Frac Hits Reveal Well Spacing May be Too Tight, Completion Volumes Too Large.

Sclumberger Is identifying this issue with well data!

The article is really conceding there is an issue with well spacings under 400ft in the Eagle Ford so that will rule out all the 16 well pads on a 640 and 1280 acre spacing!

I hold several oil and gas companies .. mostly debt free and with FCF or good production / good cost containment..but until a few things happen for those companies / global industry e.g.

1. Company specific news on production & reserves & sales.
2. Global oil inventories drop again towards 5yr averages May/Jun18 IMHO)
3. Us prod stagnating in 10.xm range
4. Venezuela, Nigeria and Libya production outages/ reductions.
5. Global demand increases evidenced at 1.5mbopd+
6. More Hedge funds returning to energy
7. Poo moves above 70$ ( Apr/may IMHO)

Then even good companies are 30% below current fair value e.g. Trin, Amer, HNR,

With new wells being drilled at a ferocious rate all over the basin, there's a risk that the fractures created in the rock may start to interfere with one another, reducing pressure and ultimately investor returns. That's especially true with lateral wells reaching farther than ever into the Permian's horizontal layers.

The downside risks related to tighter well spacing and well-on-well interference could bring peak Permian production forward by four years compared with the upside case, Wood Mackenzie Ltd. said in a September report. That puts more than 1.5 MMbpd of future production in question.

On the flipside, improvements in technology may cause production to be higher than current forecasts, Dallas-based Wood Mackenzie analyst Robert Clarke

Thanks Lobo and we know the NPV $341 is based on 69,000 acres only without the Eagle Formation and the Helium and since the recent land acquisition now the potential resource covers 221,973 acres so 3 times as much as before!

Going to post some research if you don't mind, posted over on LSE too,shows that Schlumberger is testing researching in the Permian Basin where Highlands performed their latest Horizonal 1 mile DT Ultravert test (Parent well Protection)!

Schlumberger is in the process of studying the issue. The oil field services company amassed case studies of wells in the Eagle Ford and 4,000 each in the Barnett and Bakken shales, said panelist Jason Baihly, commercial and risk assessment manager. He said Schlumberger also is gathering case studies from Permian Basin wells.

We're in the early innings of understanding parent-child well interaction over a year's time, Baihly said. (That's) the biggest issue in unconventionals long-term or even mid-term: trying to get more production out of the child wells.

Highlands said natural gas production rates from the Helios 5-52 16-22 well reached 216,000 cubic feet a day, following a successful test of the Eagle formation at the Helios Two gas and helium project in Montana.

A competent persons report in January indicated a best estimate net present value of USD341.0 million for the natural gas project alone, and a further 2.1 billion cubic feet of net attributable helium in the same area, which is not included in the estimate.

East Denver.

1.Rig Moved to Adams County in readiness for Drilling in Arapahoe County for subsequent wells and a MIRU (Move in Rig Up).

2. 4 Drill Permits (APD) Approved on Friday evening for Thunder - Buckskin - Ouray - Grizzly.

3. Hagar - Citadel Drill Permits already Approved so 6 wells together.

4. Potentially expanding the project with additional acreage and drill sites.

5. Potentially completing an additional financing to further leverage public equity investors' capital in the East Denver project.


DT Ultravert

1.Completed Additional "proof of concept" for Horizonal well Protection showing DT Ultravert's technical success in a 1 mile well in the Permian Basin the biggest in North America with a 435 rig count 6 times bigger than the next best Eagle Ford with 70 rigs also with a Vertical Test in the Piceance Basin in Colorado.

2.Patents (4) allowed for DT Ultravert as a Diverter in Refracks and Parent Well Protection.

3.In talks with Oil and Gas operators with additional field trials with commercial implications.

4.Advancing the marketing with the Company presenting at a major industry event the North American Prospect Expo (NAPE) and up and coming events to commercialise.
