Dr J. Thanks for taking time to give a non holding perspective. I started buying these simply because the price had fallen so far from its highs (approx a year ago) and it seemed that updates on the drilling programme again would be made public soon. I also felt that share price was just depressed after so many warrants exercised and would gradually recover from the warrant hammering! I got a bit carried away after reading research on LSE (some great posters there with very in depth research) and also seems like the patent close to being fully granted.

I am prepared to hold until the next news released but to be honest a bit disappointed with lack of news and price action so far.

Which other stocks do you think are worth looking at? For the record my largest holding by far is ARS and I bought some RRR today because of the chart on verge of breakout.

All the best to you and come on HNR give us some news!!

Jackbal, sorry only just seen your post. Two reasons mainly for holding off. Firstly, I am trying to wait for rns announcements which are positive enough to bring me in here. And anywhere else for that matter. Also, I am in several other shares which should do well over the next year or so. I don't wish to sell anywhere else just now. HNR does look to be a potentially decent share to be in but the share price volatility probably hasn't helped over the last few months. Hope that helps.

We have not started the first drill yet which will be Hagar or Powell Well and waiting for the 48 hour notice required prior to spud.

The drill takes just over 3 weeks talking to RP so at least 4 weeks away.

I keep monitoring the COGCC website and will update this board as soon as I see a change.

Ulysses & Jupiter APDs were both received on 17th April by COGCC and so have had them for 36 days

The 4 APDs took 43 days from 22nd Feb before the permits were approved by COGCC on 6th April.

So if we assume that is the case, Jupiter & Ulysses wells should be approved by the latest next Tuesday. But as Fourseasons spoke to Jeff in March who explained normally the timescales for approval takes between 35 to 40 days, these are now in the frame time for approval.

What will come first, these permits approved by the COGCC or the 48 hour notice & application to drill Hagar or Powell?

Dr J - I have bought three lots of these recently with a view/hope to sell a few at 40 odd and run the rest. Fingers crossed of course.

I am interested in your view as you have been watching for months and haven't dabbled yet. What is holding you back? I am not as bullish as some on this stock as I have other imo better growth stocks which are not really performing and dont expect meteoric rises here. Just interested in how you see it and your decision to keep powder dry.

As a non holder, I have just read the recent posts with great interest. Very informative and objective. Didn't think you were being attacked at all, by the way mm1. Incidentally, HNR has been on my watch list for months. So just wanted to say these posts have been very helpful. Thanks guys.

Your comments today have come over more like a personal attack on me. You come over as someone who rams his opinions down others throats and thinks he is the exclusive holder of knowledge when you are just another armchair speculator fixated on one company.

There was not really a setback with the patent application. Many patents get the final rejection prior to a NOA and is normal in the patent process but all done. Unfortunately it does not prove anything. Still need to get the product to be proven and accepted by the market.

But there is one thing you do not need to educate me on HNR. I research and share my research and know more than most invested in HNR. If your rhetoric pleases you then please continue

Remember there was a setback with the patent application which has now been fully resolved in HNR's favour so now things can resume dear boy.

I would not worry too much about the intraday movements, the next RNS will resolve this. Well I hope so

Look at the CPR report and see how many drills they hope to achieve in the first few years. They receive their investment plus 100% so not great value with the small amount of drills.

There is no need for the 'dear boy' comment. This is supposed to be a discussion.

Yes the commercial agreement in October was supposed to be drilled in December, then April and still not done. Admittedly HNR are not in control.

But if you look at the CPR report for DTU and work out the figures then look at East Denver CPR report which will be being valued at 300m dollars and half the resource will be extracted in the first 2 years, there is no comparison. That is all I was saying when I started posting today about the MCap.

If you think DTU project is derisked and a reasonable amount of revenue will be received over the next few years then so be it. I do not agree.

But whatever our views, I feel we will be well rewarded in the near future.

If you look at the link dated 26/10/2016 which I provided you will see HNR now have a means to make further testing of DTU cash generative to themselves by means of recovering 200% of their costs per well test. All I am saying dear boy is that every little helps.

Yes it is great HNR have a few revenue streams but having a patent for DTU does not derisk the project at all to me. Just prevents others utilise it if it works. It helps if DTU product is proven but it has not.

It has one test as you said which although in the higher range was above average and not near the highest so does not prove the product. Potential is there but great HNR will receive their first patent soon.

I invested at the beginning and this is why I stayed in. However, my view has changed as East Denver then Helios walk all over DTU. If you attended the AGM last September, you would probably agree with me as DTU can take up to 8 years to prove to the market (2 years already gone).

Having said that, it is all going in the right direction for DTU but only 1 test in 2 years when 5 should have been done by last September. I think HNR are finding it difficult to give away, let alone sell and companies do not wish to risk a drill on a third party product.

As RP said at the AGM, 30 tests in both horizontal & vertical wells in different basins and geologies are required to try and prove the product. Clearly, Schlumberger are not interested. If you go on about the last test this had nothing to do with Schlumberger. HNR had to pay Schlumberger 250k to inject the gas on HNR's behalf as they had labour & equipment available at that time. PWP was not included in the extension and the extension is meaningless in my view for DTU. Nearly 2 years later & Schlumberger have done nothing
