Not me, I have had a good ride from 30p plus dividends and a little
trading so will not be greedy.

Yes agree if it had been Canadian the price would be 1200p, but it
is not, so I will accept the offer.

Only if you have a certificate, and then only after snail mail delivers it. (Or, perhaps they fax it to brokers.) If you use a nominee they should present it and inform you about it when it arrives at their address, because a response is required.

The link in the RNS (hxxps://www.highlandgold.com/home/offer) is to the documentation background to the Offer, ie. not much use!!

Why are they so secretive? Oh. Russians.

On 1st Jan 2000...

If you bought 1 oz .. of Gold

.. and the equivalent 'Value' in Berkshire Hathaway Shares ..

... the Gold .. holding would have appreciated more..

... Now that .. to me ... says just one thing ..

.. The entire stock market .. along with the entire .. 'Management'..
.. Administrative .. Governmental & Judicial 'systems'.. that it requires ..

... Is 'Negative in 'Value'...

That .. is significant .. yet so few people see it..

.. Warren Buffet .. may have just woken up ..

The 40% has been bought, now the other 60% to be acquired.

Very close now to the 300p deal all done.

Yes, RNS at 16:30 today.

"... the pre-condition to the Offer has now been satisfied and the offer document containing the terms of the Offer will be posted to Highland Gold Shareholders as soon as practicable and in any event within 28 days of the date of this announcement."

Should open at £2.98 or better. Come on Fortiana, surprise me.

They need to get a date out, enough now, poly has rocked up
nicely since end July and doubled the dividend.

Shay

I mentioned the other day that I hold poly, paf and ggp.

I also own sve which has holdings in a few gold miners/prospectors.

They hold a very large stake in ggp that is larger than their current
value. Take a look very interesting, I bought more this morning,
as I am starting to move funds into others before the hgm money arrives.

Yeah, fenners not great. I'm not seriously inciting resistance just making a point that Board Members have a duty to not just look after some shareholders but all of them. (But on AIM that particular ship sailed ages ago!)

I will have done very well, rather by chance. Like loganair posted once before, for my earliest purchases all my purchase price has been handsomely repaid in dividends paid before the takeover. With PoG easing a bit, the decision whether/when to sell has been taken for me.

Should have put my Shell investment into a Russian oligarch's toy. There's a thought!

Good luck all.

Yes time to get the 300p and move on, complete stitch up but
there you are.

Just look at poly for what the results should have been like, doubled
the dividend there.

That is the paragraph loganair, but I'm not sure what relevance the deal made between different shareholders and a prospective buyer of shares should have on the payment of a dividend which is an internal corporate matter. The Directors have a responsibility to all shareholders equally and the dividend is a matter for the Company and would normally be driven by first half trading performance.

I still expect a dividend because I held my shares during a spectacular rise in PoG knowing the shares were becoming more valuable.

£3-less-dividend would not be an offer greater than the prevailing market price.
