26/4/2017 09:11 | nn Good post, no investor should invest based on bb's comments. | srpactive
26/4/2017 09:07 | srp yes - Warren Buffet's strategy and we'd all like to be a penny behind him! We all have different strategies and aims, unfortunately some posters on here seem to be following the comments of others without realising they have different investment strategies. | nervousnovice
26/4/2017 09:02 | Also looking to get back in here, yield looking good I suppose we shouldnt forget that since 1/1/2016 gold price is up 18% vs rise in HGM shares of 200% ... | mister md
26/4/2017 08:58 | NN Yes quite right, but I maybe invest different to others, where I am dull and boring. I try to buy recovery situations in sectors that I see can sustain the dividend, gvc, itv, hgm and a few others. I have held some stocks for decades so never been in a rush, when I die I will hopefully pass something on to my family that they could benefit from. I remember being told if you invested $1000 into Macdonalds in 1970, with compound and dividend reinvestment it would be worth $50m. | srpactive
26/4/2017 08:50 | denbos - interesting post, I sold at 180 and I am looking for an opportunity to get back in, but the price this morning at 143 is around the support line that has been in place since January 2016. I am waiting to see if it drops though - where do you see the bottom? srp - NAHL yield 12% on a p/e of 6 so the high yield isn't always a barrier to a lower price. NAHL in the same position as HGM, revenue down profit up. HGM currently yielding 7% on a p/e of 13. NAHL goes xd tomorrow. | nervousnovice
26/4/2017 08:23 | latifs100 I had it down as 20th April, GC yes agree although as we know with recovery situations with massive yields, people who missed out want in, maybe the same here, I feel the dividend this year will be 12.4p, so 8.7%, I think I will increase here, dyor. At this rate we will get an approach more near 190p than Numis 230p target. GC we do get these moves August and November 2016 for example. | srpactive
26/4/2017 08:19 | srp,Cannot understand why HGM,is down over another 4% this morning.When buyers,and seller,s are around equal.MM,s are having a field day again here ? | garycook
26/4/2017 08:19 | what is record date for dividend | latifs100
26/4/2017 08:15 | Thank you but I am just an investor looking for income, there are many better. This is giving the investors that have not bought hgm an opportunity to do so, with a firm gold price to help a continued yield and a Numis 230p price target I feel happy to weather this recent storm. As I said many times, when I get a dividend I buy the next big dividend payer, I think I might be buying more here before I receive my gvc and hgm payments, aimho dyor active. | srpactive
25/4/2017 15:49 | srp - your posts have been excellent - I'm watching in the shadows. I'm waiting to top up, but think this hasn't bottomed yet. | denbos

25/4/2017 12:26 | So eloquently put. I have been commenting since 2014. | srpactive
25/4/2017 11:11 | Tend to agree, although I do focus on the income more, 7% yield supported by strong gold price since year end. Rsi at a figure supporting your comment. | srpactive

24/4/2017 13:28 | CEY only down about 10p from highs - & blue today. | eeza
24/4/2017 13:08 | Chap over on kitco US has stated large gold miner have done okay over the past couple of weeks but small gold miner have been sold off, the same here for hgm and paf. He reckons time to buy the small miners. --------- As always the large caps lead the way then for the small caps to follow, we shall see, dyor. | srpactive
24/4/2017 12:15 | Could be Gary but there is a counter argument that price has further to fall. Just a look at the charts above you could argue a double top has formed and the low has now been breached. On the other graph you could argue there was a trading range since Feb time between 190 and 160 with price now falling out of the bottom of this. All in you could be looking at a fall to around 130p. However that is just looking at the basic charts above. I will be consulting my own personal ones later. | bigdazzler
24/4/2017 09:55 | Looks like a buying opportunity to me. | garycook
24/4/2017 09:40 | Slowly squeezed to 150p. | eeza |
