srp,Where do you believe HGM will bottom, and turn ? Also I believe I was correct saying that only around 10% of Gold should be in one,s potfolio. Some in PAF were quoting/boasting 30%.And I commented that,s ok when the share price is going up,but when it tank,s big losses, and a big dent in a 30% portfolio.

Fourth Edit: Fifth consecutive down day, and in that time gold
has surged, it does make you laugh, maybe getting
it down for Woodford to put some of his newly
created £553m money for his Income fund. Good
income stock is HGM, dyor.

Just looking at possible future dividends and the past share price.

I do not think it will be long before the dividend is the same value
as the share price in late 2014, I feel it will only be a few years until
we see a 20 -30p pa dividend, gold getting towards $1400 would be
very profitable for hgm, as estimates suggest costs of $550 po
by 2020. Looking very good, dyor.

While safe-haven demand could be the driving force behind gold’s latest push, Milling-Stanley said that he see broad-based demand for the yellow metal. He explained that he has heard from many fund managers who, after years of complacency, are now rebuilding strategic allocations in gold, to act as an insurance policy.

“The rally we have seen so far in gold is a lot more than just safe-haven buying,” he said. “This is all part of a much bigger pattern.”

You may want to look at caml a copper miner in Kaz. 7% divi and solid management

edit from shares mag last week
COPPER MINER CENTRAL Asia
Metals (CAML:AIM) has hinted to
Shares it may pay a special dividend
later in the year if surplus cash isn’t
needed elsewhere for acquisitions
or exploration work. Its capital
expenditure requirements are
greatly reduced this year,
having completed work to expand a
tailings reprocessing operation
in Kazakhstan. The miner already
pays a generous dividend, yielding
7.1%.

There is an article on Bloomberg regarding the success of the Van Eck junior gold miners ETF. They are widening the criteria for entry, so perhaps they are selling down some of their larger holdings for investing in new companies.
To read the article use google.
Also the gold etf's appear to be going down as opposed to gold going up which is rather strange.
