If you missed RPT RNS - you could say its a stormer - up 50% now...
Increased P1 reseves by around 1500%!!!!! Not going to comment on the rest, have a read....

Add to it 40 million USD in the bank
Heading for 4,000 boepd production....

Some comments from twitter below

#RPT A truly gigantic reserves upgrade for O&G holding #RegalPetroleum. About to catch a flight but am totally ecstatic by this news. Totally oustanding. 1P (proved) soar from 1.9mmboe to 27.8mmboe and a further 24 wells. Gobsmacked! investegate.co.uk/regal-petroleu…

Dont waste your time and miss the boat, this is still seriously undervalued.

Handy to do a comparison:

HGM CEYPER 9.1 16.3PBV 0.76 1.23PSR 1.88 2.64PCF 4.53 4.97Ev/EBITDA 5.19 4.33

I have done very well out of both stocks and expect to do well in the future.

I thought that there was going to be a .25% increase in August with the Bank of England.

Centamin produce twice as much gold as HGM, have no debt and hundreds of millions of cash in the bank. After you compare taxes, labour, currency etc the profit share is much of a muchness in difference to the HGM arrangement or indeed that of others. Whichever way you look at it there is no such thing as free lunch.

Also, Russia and former Soviet countries tend to be discounted much more - unfortunately as most of my portfolio is in former Soviet gold miners / explorers.

Centamin pay out half their profits to the Egyptian government. They are semi-nationalised.

What .25%? Interest rate?

Not really: Buy: 468,124 Sell: 315,574 Unknown: 110,617
Also, sellers can sell at what ever price they wish.
Therefore this is completely irrelevant.

Centamin is cheap too.

Are people in the know, expecting a further drop in the gold price due to the tiny.25 % increase expected in August?

Buys outweighing sells again. Drop from 140p defies logic. Trading at less than 8x earnings.

Paying divi, increase production in second quarter. That's good enough for me...

I did the same yesterday, lol. Charts are only an indication, but never work...If they did we all be millionaires, wouldn't we?

More of these and always pay above the ASK: 126p 10:54:14 10,000

alamaison5 Re: the drop is done:

Well I bought and resold it at about 129 yesterday and I could buy it back now for about 125 right now as per the quotes above.

I hope that it goes up for you but the chart still looks scary to me as if it is falling off a cliff.

I will wait and not worry about missing out but of course,normally,125 would be a fantastic price to buy in at. :-)

I would not be surprised to see it bounce back briefly to 140 as you say but then dive, dive, dive!????

Good luck.

Non ftse 100 so I don't get "stamp duty" hit (although u can get some tax back here but have to wait for year end). Ironically, this HGM would be ace, and I did take out slugs from time to time, but not daily- need the price to get back to ~140 to get back to parity for me. Other goodie for me long term is/was FEVR and Easyjet- and I would pretty much ignore forum advice(unless backed up by solid rationale), just focus on the facts- for example, I bought into easyjet long term after being a shorter even though it attracted stamp duty- when the price was ~900 forums saying it will drop from ftse etc etc… FEVR comments at ~19 a share where, "it will fall" waste of money at this price...

Had to route my deal to dealers for HGM, really odd but 126 looks unmissable. Got em just below that. Had something to sell at a minor loss.
Guess the big divi could provoke a divi price drop may be 110 or so will have to round up some cash for that assuming this attack continues.

Chart support may be at 120p or so.

Re: gold mining companies down.
Yes,I bought HGM at 129 yesterday and then I sold it shortly afterwards for a £8 trading cost loss as I think someone wants this to drop a lot more.
Normally 129 would be a fantastic buy but the chart looks a bit scary at the moment.
