The US GDP first quarter just out 2.3%, expected 2.1% and they had several massive snow storms whereas the Bank of England blamed our 1 small snow storm for the UK's GDP figure to come out at only 0.1%.

Even when the ECB stop there QE, they will still be rolling over their trillion plus euro of government bonds they already hold and will therefore not be reducing the amount of bonds they hold by selling any of them back into the market.

What will the BOE and the ECB do when the next down turn hits as neither central banks will have any fire power left unless they go for negative interest rates and the ECB buys another trillion euro's of government bonds.

Yes, like the ECB yesterday- hopefully already factored in, seems to be as gold is not dropping below 1317(ish)- need USA to follow.

Weak UK GDP numbers, just 0.1%, the slowest rate of growth since 2012. Now reporting the Bank of England will not raise rates.

Yes Poly was around 730p before the Russia mark down
now 719p approx, we were 155p now 148.8p, so I am expecting
a decent move through 150p, dyor.

Holding well (and so are all golds) despite the flat gold price, and we sometimes gets odd behaviour around Ex-D times. SR- on the Q1 operating results, agree they should be imminent (if same time as last year). Although there are never financials here, but not heard any bad rumours, so I expect on track with forecast. Not heard any news on when these results will come out. If on track, and no warnings on costs, we can gauge the financials based on gold price over the period.

I also like that they are very close to Kinross and Polymetal.

What I like is how all the new mining licenses are with in 25km of each other and also near one of HGM mines which mean can easily share equipment and only need for one road which will save a bob or two.

I very much like the deal, and as accordingly as
you know I bought more in the dip to 143p this
morning. The interesting point will be the
partner we need, dyor.

Nice rise today, especially as ex-divi. I did suspect that rise might be after ex-d, like DLG, as I said the other day!! I love this share - I always seem to do well with HGM!

Active - Motley Fool concluded on 17th April:

"Despite the firm’s low costs and proven ability to generate cash, the stock’s valuation remains very modest. At the last-seen share price of 142p, the stock trades on 9 times forecast earnings and with a 14% discount to book value.

With a 7% dividend yield on tap, I think that’s too cheap. I’d rate the stock as a buy, despite the political risk of investing in Russia."

Yes, now lets hope the suppressed share price
can rise back to 180p region, now that the deal is done.

Hopefully tomorrow with the dividend done, we
could see the 150p's. Just been told the Motley Fool
are positive on hgm.

Mainly RA exchanging his shares in a small Private Cypriot mining company for a few million in cash, but mainly for HGM shares.

Quiet clever really. You are a Russian oligarch who owns mines via a Private Company and wish to make your assets more liquid so what do you do?

Have a chat with one of your Russian oligarch buddies to buy you out.

Yes all the major shareholders do it would appear.

Polymetal are buying assets recently ( rns statements )
and also HGM ( today rns ), hgm need a partner
for one of the projects.
I wonder if could be Polymetal or Kinross?

Not that I want that as I would prefer hgm to stay independent
and grow.

dyor.

It seems to me that Aristus Holdings and R.Abramovich have a connection.
