2H, that's what I am bound to do. Will wait and see what happens with the big movers. If you see them selling via rns. ...then, I guess, it's game over. After all, they are supposed to be the pros here...With well paid guys thinking hard, at least I would assume, whether to sell or hold. So, until they manifest themselves or we are offer something higher. .which could happened and then be materialised in September. .. I will hold. Besides, even if I would sell this share now, why would I give even 0.06p to these duchbags?

Is it not the result of the arbitration this month?

Aways had this feeling of tony taking this company private, and that is what he has done with the arab buyer.

As you say what are the big investors doing, surprised that just as hoil are laying strong foundations they want to sell.

I had high hopes of papeu new guinea, just a gut feeling,so very disappointed, will not sell to the end.

Eipgam, unusual to say the least. That's why I have been saying shareholder ought to rebel here. I wonder what the big investors are doing here? Or is it only the small fries that are bailing out early?

there seems to be a relatively equal number of buys and sells! does this suggest there might be more to play for?

wee article in ST business that says it is an unusual arrangement... referring to the undertaking given by TB not to accept a higher bid.

So if you do not sell is it just a matter of waiting to the conclusion of the deal.
If you add the difference of 3.20 to existing price plus dealing costs it comes to a decent wad of money,so might as well wait for conclusion.

Good morning all. I was wondering if anyone would know if HOIL were to pay dividends to shareholders, by a miracle, is there any specific date to do that?

Sold the lot

As a holder of TLW as well, I wonder how the business between HOIL and TLW will resolve itself.

A little snippet from Malcy

"Heritage, I see in the FT that Mr Buckingham is going to be paid £166,667 a month which goes to show that he usually does better than his shareholders"

I sold 1/6th of my holding this morning and switched it to BLVN. Could be the next one if EEAA comes in.

Whilst TB is a merc and has sold us out cheap at least he has made most current holders some cash.

For me GKP is univestable with TK at the helm and has to be one of the worst out there for greed. If it has to be Kurdi stock I would rather buy GENL or SNM or maybe even WZR again. The latter two did well for me and probably SNM or GENL rather than GKP.

Also after EEL and Rand, I would never support a CEO blindly as some on GKP seem to do. The market rule is never fall in love with a share, as some seem to have done riding it from 4 quid to under a pound. That performance sucks and in contrast TB has at least managed to got his shares up from 120 pence to 320 pence.

Yes, he created it, but he only owns 34% of it, that leaves 66% that he doesn't own. I don't mind him selling the company, just sell it for what it's worth at a price that doesn't rip the majority ownership off.

He could get £2bn for it if he allowed other bids....

The special divi was ages ago... Before my time.

Still, a profit is a profit... And I shall look into the other companies you mentioned fang, after buying a few more gulf.

The sheik is only paying around ~600m pounds net for his controlling stake.

It seems he knows a good deal when he sees one.

RJ,
I'm slightly on the side of the fact that the guy created the company, and has never been a city/press darling.
On the other hand, his large shareholding should have been a red flag, and the share buyback now looks rather strange given that treasury shares will be paid for by the purchaser, but that cash remains theirs when the transaction is completed.

Am out of touch with the Uganda/TLW litigation/arbitration, but is there also a potential windfall there for the acquirer ?

TB has been both successful and fast with finding and then flipping assets (Uganda/Kurdistan/Nigeria), so well done to him.
There would appear to be a lot of potential upside in the company's assets, but perhaps he has now had enough and wants to get on with his own thing ...? He's positioned himself for that, so fair enough imo.

Not a good result for any holding LT I agree, but it's been clear for a while that TB is a 'project' kind of guy and flips in/out regularly.

GL all, and hope it does get better from here.

Come on fang.. You know this stinks. I'd be interested to know how much he actually has put in?

Fanghorn you might as well say todd kozells company is gkp would you agree with that?

Nope. He only has 256,000 shares. against shares issued 886 million.

Buckingham owns 30% of total issued equity. There's a difference. Can you see that?

We the long term shareholders were not even consulted on this sale, you are saying as shareholders we have no rights.

Why would tinpot shareholders such as yourself(and myself) be consulted?
Oil E&P is a roller coaster - be thankful you got our with a profit , or your money intact! You did get the 100p special div a while back?

Why should you get special treatment for your 0.005% stake when he owns 30%. Seriously? He's taken all the risk, you've jumped on his coattails for a"supposedly" easy return..

Just as the company prospects were looking much brighter he takes our profit away from us

Always a risk when ONE shareholder owns so much of the equity. See ENRC. So you invest on the basis of that premise.

After the kozel debacle you were quite happy with that?

What Kozel debacle exactly? Assets are still there - CPR very conservative. Sure he's taken a bit too much out but it isn't his fault the City hasn't valued GKP, or Oilies sector wide properly for the last 18 months. eg PMO, CNE, Ophr, and HOIL!

What point are you trying to make other than you feel as if you haven't got what you deserved?
