07/1/2002 13:17 | I see the spike you are talking about. I think it was obviously too much too quickly and hence the sell back. I'm hoping for 300p over the next few weeks. I might take some profits however if it does encounter serious resistance along the way. | rdj20
07/1/2002 13:14 | Looks good rdj - I'm not a chartist by any means but clearly there's an upwards trend there. Do you think that there might be a resistance at 280 (ish) | phil_silver

I am also pleased you covered BAY short for neglible loss I failed to do this on Friday 2)SYR caught my attention and I bought up with its run up to reults which were excleent SInce then it has only been buys and MM's faked but now are lifting the price on every buy as they have no stock. It has also broken out chart wise. I wouldnt buy it now as it has risen some 35% since I recomendded it. | matthewa

07/1/2002 11:50 | Ruth - Macs are great - I use them in my business and we have about 15 iMacs, 3 iBooks and a couple of PowerBooks at last count. However.... they crash quite a lot and, perhaps more pertinently, will not run a lot of software relevant for trading (including ADVFN streaming last I heard). iMacs also have low internet screen resolution meaning you have to scroll aroung to see whole screen image. For this reason I own PCs purely for trading and would not recommend iMacs. Tony | futurefinder
07/1/2002 11:49 | Ruth, you should definitely use a LINUX box as the one with the connection to the outside world. It's got a very good firewall system and will auto-connect etc. Very customisable, you then just network any other PCs to it. I have used this setup before for a couple of my businesses and at home. By far the cheapest and most reliable way. | rdj20 |
