rdj20 - good one, I like it. "The market will always do just enough to prove you wrong" is along the same lines. I'm certainly not planning to bust out, but I'd be very disappointed if I got stopped out of my shorts so irrationally.

ruth - fine here. They adjusted some margin requirements at about 8.30am, maybe that's messed things up.

Am I the only one short the major techs, not believing this rally? Short MSY, LOG, SPT & watching ARM, on a pe of 150 & mobile sales having slowed.

I know the "green shoots" are theoretically appearing, but IMO we've virtually priced in a return to the boom years. I like the notion that the Nas100 is on a pe higher than March 2000, based on grossly over-optimistic (IMO) analyst estimates of 16% av. earnings growth for 01.

Unfortunately though, you can't buck the market . . .
