One would have expected the coal-fired mothballing to be linked to development of alternatives i.e. if the alternatives begin to lag, then the mothballing should lag also, with penalties upon those responsible within the generation and supply industries from which they're happy to take their guaranteed profit. They shouldn't be allowed to have it all ways.

HELIUM ENERGY, Invest if you want a squeeky voice. Ive been in this before and do not hold now but note larger investors were buying at 15p, i'm not sure what will move this and interest the wider community as what they offer is unique and I'd hope would interest larger utility orgs investment and help to develop more of these projects.

It's frustrating to see the Government sitting on their hands, Councils complaining "Not Here", Planners drag their heels and do gooders? moan about emissions whilst they drive around in the biggest polluters around, cars.

I'm not bitter I just want to build power stations!

spaceparallax,

Yes, somewhat over due, however whilst there's no news proves that the financial discussions are still in progress because if they had gone wrong we would had been told.

Keep everything crossed!

A reminder of the interim highlights:-

Rothes since handed over and operational.

· Contracts being finalised for the construction, fuel supply and electricity offtake for the Avonmouth project

· Club of potential lenders engaged in due diligence for Avonmouth project level senior debt

· Heads of terms agreed for Avonmouth project equity

· Consenting process for Southampton project in progress

Subsequently, when announcing the Rothes handover, HEGY confirmed anticipated finalisation of Avonmth financing by end FY Sep 13.

We haven't heard anything since to contradict that and so I'm expecting the RNS anytime in the next fortnight and will look forward to a TS confirming that EPS 09/13 is on target. When positive news follows on Southampton, which is more likely than not as the NIMBYs are rolled over, the share price will be set for a significant upward correction.

Moneyextra.com/stocks/risers was showing this rising over 62% at the get go this morning before moving back down to +0.5p which was only marked up after the close @4.35pm
Was this a genuine mistake or do they know something we don't
Watching this as way below net asset value

Some of the newspaper article's about Portsmouth had quote's from the "No Southampton Biomass" supporters are happy for Portsmouth to have one, so their not against Biomass just not in Southampton. Fair enough let's cut Southampton off the Grid.

Bet they had Barbeques over the weekend, burning charcoal, so much for principle's! :-)

Looking positive. I only wish that there could be a tax on Nimbys in order that they pay the price for their head in the sand approach to life. They would no doubt be the first to complain were their locale to suffer power shortages.

In the next few months the Avonmouth funding is scheduled to be completed and also the Southampton planning application is expected.

I'd like to agree with you but we're talking about the Banks, bonuses, salaries, payday loans, dealing losses, high interest mortages...............first and then the business's.

Although with our Board and the big investors with contacts everyhere, I'd be amazed they didn't get the loans somehow.

The Avonmouth funding drags on and now is expected in this FY (31st Sep) however in the results they say

"The Company is aiming to secure a development fee from the Avonmouth project to provide general working capital for company operations and project development activities in 2014 and beyond."

I have no idea to what they'd go for but I'd guess 5% - 10% of the total cost = £15m - £30m, anybody got a better idea?

And some income from Rothes is to start next month, which is very welcome.

"("The Drax conversion will be the first project of many to be enabled by this radical, innovative new approach. I would strongly encourage any other investor who thinks a guarantee may help them to talk to the Treasury - the door is open."

In total, the government has identified about £40bn of projects that could qualify for the guarantees, the bulk of which are understood to be in the energy and transport sectors.)"

Let's hope Helius is in this list!

spaceparallax,

I hoping getting Rothes up and running is one of requirements of the Avonmouth bank loans. So hopefully fairly soon we'll get some news about Avonmouth.

But I'm suprised by the low PR level of Rothes but at least this means cash is coming in, as to how much I just don't know.

As per normal with shareholders we have to wait for news...............
