05/12/2011 16:01 | Good to see a non-exec doing his bit to mop up the massive share overhang here. Would Angus Macdonald have to notify the stock exchange were he to be the seller? If he isn't the seller, I would love to see who is. 2 investors with 48% of the company....wouldnt take much for them to get to 51% and take the company out cheaply..... | mdchand

28/11/2011 11:36 | Dear Subscriber, Helius Energy has today announced that, due to the ongoing review of the siting, layout and external appearance of the project, its programme of further consultation on the revised proposals, previously anticipated to commence in autumn 2011, will be delayed until early 2012. Once the review has been completed, and the various environmental studies have been updated, Helius Energy will undertake a further round of consultation on the changes to the siting, layout and design of the scheme. Prior to the period of further consultation, Helius Energy will publish a Revised Statement of Community Consultation, giving full details of the consultation programme and public exhibition events. It is anticipated that the consultation will include three architectural design approaches, providing the local community with the opportunity to input into the final design that will be taken forward into the application to the Infrastructure Planning Commission. Helius Energy is working hard with suppliers and the Port of Southampton to make changes to the siting, layout and external design of the scheme in response to the comments received. Regrettably, this has taken longer than had previously been anticipated, but the company hope to be able to make a further announcement on the anticipated programme early next year. A copy of the press release can be down on the downloads page of the project website (www.southamptonbiom Yours faithfully,The Southampton Biomass Power Team | pilot48

07/11/2011 23:52 | Edison's "Investment Summary" 3 November 2011: The recently announced share placing (40.95m shares at 16p/share raising £6.55m net), together with Helius's earlier announced capital-raising exercise (£0.7m equity and £0.3m debt) and package of cost-control measures (including the departure of three non-executive directors) should give it enough cash resources to proceed with financing Avonmouth, expected in six to nine months. Helius's share price stands at a discount to our base-case SOTP (32p/share) and below the combined value of the Stallingborough earn-out and Rothes. The market valuation also implies no value for Avonmouth nor the potential for Rothes to augment its value by modifying its fuelling strategy (generating by using more draff and less wood). | pilot48
