25/1/2011 19:18 | Do they sell kebabs ? Anyone know cause its a growing market. Could be an interesting "INVESTMENT" | hvs
25/1/2011 17:50 | Interesting web article, madalsputin. Essentially it says that there is a contract being put out to tender to treat the waste for the whole of Western Macedonia for 25 years, as part of a PPP (public private partnership). The value of the contract is 116M Euros. A number of companies are bidding, including some large conglomerates more normally associated with shipping and electricity production. Bidders do include Helesi, whose MD has many years of experience in the management of waste, and is returning to the sector after his "failed venture, Athens Airways". Bids have to be lodged by the 3rd of March, but it doesn't say when a decision will be made. DYOR | cyberbub

25/1/2011 09:06 | seems odd that the idiots are not clambering all over this i take it there is a grant on the way ? not sure to invest here as yet as its difficult to buy in quantity but after a quick glance its a sure fire way to double your money if a grant is forthcoming. | traidemark
25/1/2011 08:09 | Was expecting an RNS this morning but hey ho | cambium
24/1/2011 23:37 | thanks della, jeez, thought no-one had tongues in here LOL. probably all gobsmacked because the sensible ones get the drift there could be news soon, and the others just short it :) | citytrader 007
24/1/2011 22:20 | I have been investing in HLS for a while now; most of those being negative have been looking for a while and are annoyed that other more savvy investors have discovered HLS. Helesi's bank has been very supportive, the government debt of Euro50m and the outstanding EU grants will be announced soon and we'll be back at the 40/50p level. DYOR DD | delladella

24/1/2011 16:14 | No, it's not a fact to say this co has a lot of cash, that's factually quite wrong. The last published figures to 30.6.10 showed cash of just 634,000 Euros; and trade receivables (which are not cash) of 51.7m Euros were dwarfed by trade, tax and other payables of 25.6m Euros and debts of 74.5m Euros. That's a 48m Euro hole in the accounts. Nor as someone said are they owed £50m by the Greek government. For one thing, their accounts are in Euros not £ Sterling, and their 'receivables' are split between Greek, Italian and other debtors - and the quality of these receivables must be subject to scrutiny. For example, H1 sales in Greece were 12.6m Euros but receivables of 31.5m Euros suggest that they hadn't been able to collect on sales booked for more like 12-15 months. You can't run a business like that, booking sales and delivering goods when you can't collect anything from your customers, and relying on banks to extend more and more credit. Italian numbers looked even worse - H1 sales 3.7m Euros, receivables 12m Euros or more like 18-19 months' sales not paid for. The company has not been able to pay off short-term debt as it fell due and is in breach of its banking covenants, and the economic position of Greece has hardly shown radical improvement since 30.6.10. By all means speculate if you think this stock has been priced to go bust but you think it'll survive, but don't try to pump it on the basis that it has lots of cash when it has almost none, or that it is owed huge amounts when you don't also mention that it owes far more than it is hoping to recover. The company was also losing money and had negative cash flow in its last reporting period, the 'assets' are tied up in a business where they appear to struggle to collect amounts due from customers, and they don't have 150m of assets, they have shareholders' funds of 53.5m Euros supporting debt and liabilities of 102.7m Euros, i.e. they are quite steeply geared already with probably not a lot of leeway left to them. | tiredoldbroker
24/1/2011 16:05 | just like IPS. one trade can move the share price up or down, very volatile. | induna123
24/1/2011 15:49 | fair point induna123..be interesting to see how things pan out here....although mm's quick to drop this on sells as was evident earlier... | pre
24/1/2011 15:36 | Sounds like they're trying to fill a bucket of sand with a hole at the bottom of it. They need the sand (money) from the greek govt before the bucket runs empty. Problem is, their bucket ran dry many months ago. | induna123
24/1/2011 15:18 | 25k sell vs 7.5k buy...move up coming up... | pre

24/1/2011 14:22 | I have simply answered questions based on fact, not add doubt to it, not ramp it etc. I am glad you made the right decision back then, but this is now, the company has a lot of assets etc and cash, again fact. as for your last statement dasv, i have answered that plainly above this sentence. Of course ANY share will knock down over the years on such news of a countries welfare, but has it lost value or mass revenue ? no. IMV, this has dropped price with no reason other than worry, and as such is now way undervalued. | citytrader 007
24/1/2011 14:20 | a rns should be issued if they have received notification that the grants are going to be paid | haroldthegreat |
