16/1/2009 15:37 | Milly Given that trading HBOS is suspended, where is this "very very quiet" business going on? | rkjones
16/1/2009 15:26 | Anyone know what happened to Bluenose851? - always liked his posts. Where are posters here going? GL all with LBG | leylandie

16/1/2009 12:18 | So have these stopped trading now? Is the EPIC for Lloyds unchanged or will there be a new one on Monday? | jlwilliams
16/1/2009 11:04 | The strategy was not incorrect and your view is that of someone with hindsight. If some weeks ago, you had wished to buy shares in Lloyds, buying HBOS allowed you to obtain your required holding at a discount - only threatened if the merger was called off. If you had bought Lloyds share at the market price, you would now be sitting on a bigger loss. Good luck to you if you have profited from a short term trade but the fact remains that if you had, say £10k available to invest in Lloyds, you would today have more Lloyds shares if indirectly bought through HBOS than you would if you had bought direct. The story is not over yet and you may well be kicking yourself for not holding on - as I have myself on many occasions!! | rkjones
15/1/2009 22:31 | m2m - 15 Jan'09 - 15:43 - 24866 of 24873 If you really want to know, the currently HBOS share price is about 60.5 pence per share. so much for all those who bought these thinkimg they would close the gap on lloyd... lloyd gapped down a lesson there. i was lucky, bought at 65, sold at 71 | brando69

15/1/2009 18:33 | Barclays have just increased their stake in TMC (Toledo Mining) which would now appear to be trading below cash. A real multibag opportunity IMHO. If there is a better buying opportunity out there please tell me. | caledoniaman1
