Those buying Haynes this morning might also like to take a look at an even more lowly rated publisher(QRT)with a very consistant record of divedends and rising eps,and with growth stategy in place.Just a thought!(nothing wrong with Haynes)

Took profits a while back as I wasn't sure how the falling $ would affect profits from US sales when re-patriated.

More buyers today - fair value over £4 in my opinion.

Ticking up today - stonkingly cheap for the potential growth - rising $ will boost their US earnings too.

More than just car repair manuals these days -

I sold a couple of days ago - didn't look like it was going to move up fast and I've my eye on some other things. Still looks a decent stock, might not move as fast as in the past tho imo.

I will probably return at some point.

luvvly jubbly :-)

X Trade is a cross trade, made between two parties usually at the mid price without some thieving market maker scalping his cut.

Morning CR

Having a manic day (PJT), seen the highlights here and pleased with them, especially new autumn US product rane, Aussie efficiencies, and new geographical growth options......like yourself raised an eyebrow at pension.
Will look at detailed numbers later.

Buy the way can anyone explain what a "x" trade is - can't make sense of the ADVFN help description?

only fly in the ointment is the pension deficit imo.

Looks in a much sounder position than a year ago tho.

with performance like this, we shouldn't be surprised if some of the giants of the industry are watching them with predatory intentions

excellent results and in spite of the $ fall.

Seeing the US is such a large potential market for them if they maintain 12% growth and the $ stabilises then profits will soar. And of course if the $ rebounded you're looking at big growth.

looks cheap doesn't it.

I missed these much lower and just kept watching the beggars rise :-(

Looked at them a bit harder since - I think they are a bit misunderstood in that most people seem to think they just do oily old repair manuals. But my guess is the baby books, videos and distribution for other products are doing very well and I like the bit that says they had a solid closing month - bodes well for the year ahead.

If they are going to beat the £7m pretax expected for the year then they are going to do £4m pretax in H2. If they do £7.2m pretax rather than £7m expected they will have beaten next years expectations. In that case there should be broker upgrades and the forward PE should be 8 or less - sounds very cheap still.

Market cap £21m and £7m pre tax profit and eps doubling.

Chart looks good too - no selling on the rises - very positive imo.

Speak to you on Tuesday - if not before :-)
